Which Dem Senators should we target for defeat in 2006? (Vanity)

Ok, we've got two years. We know we need to pick up at least 6 seats. Assuming that we won't have a 100% success rate, we should probably choose at least 8-10 Democrat (or independent) seats to work on.

We have seen that we can make a difference in the outcome of elections. Let's put ourselves to work and help get W a fillabuster proof Senate.

"Jeff Bingamen, NM

Max Baucus, Montana

Ben Nelson, Nebraska(work on a switch to GOP)

Kent Conrad, North Dakota

Tom Harkin, Iowa

Bill Nelson, Florida

Get those and we've got 61 Senate seats
"

That's certainly a desirable list, but I think Harkin and Bill Nelson are pretty much untouchable. But Baucus, Bingamen, and Conrad could be marks.

I must say I wasn't sure how this election was going to go. I wondered how deep our country had sank. I have a renewed faith in the people of this country, they came through and I just hope the zeal doesn't wane........we still have work to do to over power the liberal/socialists that are trying to take over this country. They CAN be defeated if we all stick together.

Baucus isn't up until 2008, and I'm not sure if there is anyone in the state now who can beat him. As the Senate trends more conservative, Baucus will be able to be leaned on for more conservative voting -- he's a weathervane. The best chance to unseat him would have been Mark Racicot in 2002, and Racicot chose not to run.

In Montana, Republican Conrad Burns is up for re-election. I'm not sure if the Dems have a high-profile candidate to run against him, since Brian Schweitzer won the governorship this year. His real goal has always been the Senate, but I doubt that he'd leave the governorship after only two years to challenge Burns.

Burns is a solid conservative, and he genuinely believes -- no "in name only" about him... We need to keep him.

Damn! you beat me to it! Chaffee has to go! There's print here in RI that he's considering a party switch. I wish he'd consider retirement, we need him like a fish needs a bicycle.

As a NYer, I know that Hitlary isn't very popular right now. But Gov. Pataki is even less popular so we'd have to count him out.
Rudy could beat Hitlary with ease. Hopefully his ego doesn't make him want to run for Pres. in 08 because he's too liberal for that job. But NY is so left-leaning that ALL republican up here have to have some liberal positions.
But to put a wrench in the works, Hitlary may not run in 06 because it's tougher to run as an incumbant Senator as sKerry found out. She could step down and start her White House campaign within a short enough time that she wouldn't be out of the public eye for very long. If she's defeated by Rudy for Senate, her credibility will be hurt with the so-called "undecideds."
Bottom line...she must be defeated at all costs!

Definitely Mark Dayton. I think he is very vulnerable in Minnesota. He actually closed his Washington office for 6 weeks when he heard that the threat of terorism would be elevated prior to the election. He got a lot of bad publicity for his cut and run sissy attitude. Definitely a girly man.

He plays for the Red Sox, but I don't know where he calls 'home.' With the Bosox fans being so rabid, he's the only one I can think of that might have a shot at Ted(hic!) the Swimmer.

Been here a whole three months and you're already rolling your eyes. Sorry newbie, I should have inserted the "QUOTES" around "HEALTH" so as to give the correct idea that Cheney wasn't really resigning for health concerns, but that he was stepping aside to give Condi credentials to become the heir apparent. Understand?

Westchester (suburban NYC) voted for Hillary as well.

Lawn Guyland voted for Gore (and Kerry) AND Loozio, but that's only because Ricky had a vowel at the end of his name.

If Dino Rossi doesn't win the final count of absentee ballots, he is well positioned to take on Cant-Spell.

Osama Mama won becaues 1. She brought pork home to the land of Boeing 2. The Pubbies were stupid enough to nominate someone from Eastern Washington and 3. Nethercutt ran one of the worst campaigns I have ever seen.

There is one, right now, to get rid of!

I VOW to the 58,000 + names on
The Viet Nam Wall who never came home

"I will do everything I LEGALLY can
to expose Hanoi Kerry once and for all."

MSM still refuses to tell the real story about Hanoi Kerry!

ABC, AP, CBS, CNN, FOX, MSNBC, NBC, NY Times
is part of THE cover up of the election.

Do you wonder why the Left whines about the election results?

They still think Hanoi Kerry is a "war hero"

They don't know what a traitor he is!

And I don't know about you but
I'm sick and tired of the Right media saying
"what an honorable man Senator Kerry is"

Why isn't the Right all over Hanoi Kerry
to be impeached from the US Senate?

Kerry's Discharge Is Questioned by An Ex-JAG Officer

http://www.nysun.com/article/4040

"There is overwhelming evidence that the Navy gave John Kerry either a dishonorable discharge
or an undesirable discharge – which is the equivalent of a dishonorable discharge
without the felony conviction – and that, as a result of such discharge,
he was stripped of all of his famous but questionable Navy awards and medals.

And the kicker? The evidence is on his website!"

Hey Hanoi Kerry

The BEST is yet to come from Viet Nam Vets!

WAIT till America knows the REAL truth about you!

Your "honorable discharge" is as phony
as your Purple Hearts and your other phony medals!

You and the MSM are traitors to the American public!

Go to France you scum! And take the MSM with you!

THEN the MSM can't try and "fix" another
election with their phony polls.

Yes, Nov 2 was a great battle victory!
But the war is NOT over.
I've seen on TV and heard on the Radio
attacks about Swift Boat Vets AFTER the election.
And what liars they are.
So closure is NOT going to happen for Viet Nam Vets, yet.
Time to expose Hanoi Kerry in the MSM once and for all!
Then Viet Nam Vets will FINALLY be vindicated.
THEN it will be over!

DON'T LET THIS STORY DIE!

ABC, AP, CBS, CNN, FOX, MSNBC, NBC, NY Times
made sure you knew about the Bush phony National Guard documents.

Q) Why did
ABC, AP, CBS, CNN, FOX, MSNBC, NBC, NY Times
NOT ask Kerry about why he wouldn't sign Form 180?

A) Because they are AFRAID of the REAL story!

Q) Why does the Senate allow a traitor in their midst?

A) Ask YOUR Senator!

EXPOSE HANOI KERRY!

I think we'd be better served bartering with red state Dems: don't filibuster judicial nominations and we won't run an A-list opponent against you in '06.

I don't think Scott Walker at all would be a good pick to run for Senate. He has his eyes on becoming Governor, and will have a pretty darned good shot at it. A Republican that can win 60% of the vote in Milwaukee County has a very good shot at winning statewide office. Tommy Thompson again would be great as Governor, but Tommy should consider stepping aside and letting the young guns of the party take a shot.

For the Senate seat I think Paul Ryan would be the best to take on Kohl (if Kohl runs again). Ryan's only 34 years old, wildly popular in his district (1st District, Racine/Janesville/South Milwaukee), won with about 70% this year), and has already served 3 terms in the House. Mark Green could also be a solid choice as well. 44 years old, very popular in the 8th District (Green Bay area), but he reportedly has his eyes on the Governorship.

The WI GOP is fortunate to have a lot of very bright young stars. Hopefully they can get move them on up soon.

I too had a major fear we would lose Bush this election. To me, our lives depended upon his win. The rats actions only proved to me that our lives did hang in the balance. I was a nervous wreck. I was concerned that fraud would occur enough and they would win. I really feared it about Ohio. When I awoke after a few hours nap election night and I saw that Wednesday morning they were still pushing it, with the MSM assisting, there was a chance of counts, I was scared to death. Thank God they couldn't touch Bush with those numbers!

I still believe they had it in the works but were dumbfounded by the amount of votes that went against them and even with fraud they lost. That's why, I know Conservatives/Republicans can win. With all the shenanigans, they still lost.
