Which Fox News anchors/reporters/pundits/hosts do you think are really, sincerely right-leaning? (VANITY)

We probably all prefer Fox News over CNN, CNBC, the network news shows, etc.

But I was wandering as I was watching the election night coverage and Brit Hume seemed so giddy with excitement when Bush started to pull away - what are the true political leanings of the Fox News staff?

My take:

Bill O'Reilly - Basically a slightly left-leaning Libertarian redeemed by a belief in a vigorous American foreign policy and a sneering content for the MSM

Brit Hume - love the guy....with us 100%, I believe...I LOVED the way he interacted in such an over-the-top way with Susan Estritch on election night basically wiping her face with Kerry's loss....

Fred Barnes - same as Brit, 'red' to the core....but fair and honest in his analysis..

Shep Smith - seems to also take glee in Democratic pain but not so sure....his very patriotic stances make me think he's one of us, though...

Sean Hannity - no issues with Sean....

Morton Kondracke - middle of the road leftie but fair....

Greta Van Susteren - big time left winger if I had to guess...

Juan Williams - leftie....no doubt about it....

What do you all think???

"Greg Kelly would get a few +++ after his name in my rating book. He is a Democrat but he reports without any slant IMO. If I were rating on eye candy value, he'd get a +20 oooooh baby! (I imagine deep down he couldn't help but appreciate the lustful attitude of a woman somewhat older than he as long as she also respects his journalistic skills, right?)"

I like Greg too, I particularly loved the live shots from Iraq during the war. He, Shep and Rick Leventhal kept me up many a night with their reports.

Bill is admittedly a huge enviro and tries to dodge the gay marriage issue by favoring "civil unions." I believe that he has also said that he favors gun control.

You know, I've been thinking exactly the same thing. Julian is always talking about his church and being a Christian, but he is undoubtedly a Democrat and liberal. Juliet and Julian are always talking about how they don't agree on many issues. Juliet is the most conservative on the weekend show. Jerrick is middle of the road, and the sometimes fill-in Chetry is like Julian, a liberal Democrat.

I wonder what Julian would say if someone were to ask him about why he supports a party that promotes the killing of unborn children? My guess is that he'd just give a John Kerry type of answer. Hypocrite.

I have firsthand knowledge that Julian Phillips is not liberal. He has been very gracious to answer a couple of my emails lately, and he told me that since he is a born-again Christian, he is against abortion. He says that he gets tagged as a liberal because he doesn't walk in lock-step with President Bush on some issues. I was asking him about Kiran Chetry being pro-choice, and he confirmed that this is the case. But he says that pro-choicers like Kiran need our prayers to change their hearts and minds. He says that she is a very nice person, but that they simply don't agree on some things.

So, I am pleasantly surprised to find out that Julian is pro-life! I must admit that I didn't think that he was. He's a very nice man who bothers to take the time to reply to email.

Bill O'Reilly - Basically a populist who leans conservative.

Brit Hume - A genuine conservative, very thoughtful and has little patience for liberal fillibustering or evasiveness.

Fred Barnes - A genuine conservative, not a knee jerk and is much more often than not very fair.

Shep Smith - A hammy guy, leans conservative, folksy.

Sean Hannity - A conservative commentator, relies on sound bites too much.

Morton Kondracke - A thoughtful liberal, not knee jerk and is much more often than not very fair.

Greta Van Susteren - Liberal leaning attorney type. Likes to argue that black is in fact white, not unlike many lawyers who have convinced themselves of their wit, cunning, and brilliance.

Juan Williams - Pretty thoughtless liberal; knee-jerk and bumper sticker mentality.

Alan Colmes - Thoughtful liberal, usually fair.

John Gibson - Fairly conservative, agressive guy. Fair.

Neil Cavuto - Free Marketeer, conservative.

I have to reply to my own post because this information is partially incorrect.....Julian Phillips is pro-life, and I know this because he told me in some email correspondence that I've been privileged to have had with him the past couple of days. He is a born-again Christian, and he said that this is why he is against abortion. The info. about Kiran Chetry still stands, as he confirmed that Kiran is pro-choice and that people like her need our prayers to change their hearts.

Julian is a class act and I respect him for making his convictions known. He says he's not a liberal, despite constantly being called one.

Your list is right on target, except I think that Shep Smith leans more left than right. I didn't like his attitude or comments during the Terri Schiavo case......he came off as surly and sarcastic. Other than that, he does a pretty good job and I think he's passionate about his job.

well, one lil fact is that Greta's husband was a high level advisor to the Kerry campaign, if that brings it back to politics and political leanings.
