Liberal Bloggers Say Election is 'More Depressing' Than 9/11
CNSNEWS.com ^ | 11/05/04 | Nathan Burchfiel

(CNSNews.com) - Bloggers on the liberal Democratic Underground website have overwhelmingly labeled Nov. 3, 2004, the day after Election Day, "more depressing" than Sept. 11, 2001 in a poll of online members.

Seventy-two percent of poll takers said they believed the day Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) conceded defeat in the presidential election was more tragic than the day more than 3,000 Americans were killed in the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York, the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., and on a hijacked plane that crashed in a Pennsylvania field.

One member, "Big Blue Marble," said "I have lived 61 years, lost my parents and my sister plus many many pets and this is the darkest day of my life."

Another member, "zulchzulu," implied that he/she would like to see President Bush dead. "We can only hope that Bush doesn't make it through four years," he/she said. "The day Bush is no longer president before the term ends will be a national week-long holiday in my World."

Another blogger imagined that because of President Bush's victory in the election, "there will be another 9/11."

However, not all of the Democratic Underground's members joined in the Bush-bashing. "Independent429" chastised others who had compared the election aftermath to 9/11. "Living breathing human beings died that day! How can that compare to losing an election?" He/she added, that, "I've been a Democrat for three days and already feel like going back to Independent!"

Another member who uses the moniker, "Bush was AWOL" said "comparing losing an election to 9/11 is not mainstream and is why we lose."

"NurseLefty" responded by saying that those who think 9/11 is worse are short-sighted. He/she said that there are "those of us who see the ramifications of the second Bush term. Sorry my friends, it [Nov. 3] IS worse than 9/11."

I'll bet they are not bothered one whit.

How could they be? They sat during the 9/11 Commission and said not one word when evidence of real lapses in our security that occurred during the Clinton administration was presented. In fact, they weren't bothered in the least.

No, I doubt Kristin Breitweiser and her gang of gals would take issue with this DU poll. They might even agree with the majority over there.

Did you guys see the news report on Fox News about the high school kids that locked themselves in the principal's office? It was in Boulder, Colorado where I was born and lived until I was 18. Anyway, they said that they were protesting Bush's election because of the DEFICIT!

How many of you even new what a deficit was in high school? I just worried about having a date on the weekend. I would have thought that it is a good thing that teenagers are becoming more aware of world events BUT, they are learning it from very liberal teacher. Folks, this is the next, next generation -- Oh, they were upset about having military recruiters and ROTC on campus.

We need some Republicans to start earlier to teach that there is another party in America.

Rove: Good. Use your aggressive feelings, Democrats! Let the hate flow through you. I can feel your anger. I am defenseless. Write your blogs! Strike me down with all your hatred, and your journey towards the dark side will be complete.

They are deranged. They have lived on hate for 3 years and just can't comprehend that Bush won. They no longer possess human emotions or reasoning ability. I won't be the least bit surprised if drug deaths spike.

They have lived on hate for 3 years and just can't comprehend that Bush won.

The fact that the MSM had kerry winning, and then his total defeat, must have sent those borderline cases (which includes most Dims)over the edge.

They were probably banking on voter fraud to get kerry elected. The huge Bush victory dashed those hopes, and they are left with nothing.

These folks are nuts.
Looking at them from a psychological perspective, I observe that they are feeling powerless and hopeless. Look, they gave Bush their Best shot and Failed. Their modus operandi for years has been to force their views on us through activist judges. Now with four more years and both houses behind Bush, they see the writing on the wall. The writing that they see however is distorted by their bigoted view of us and lack of education on the constitution. All of this makes their stress level go through the roof.

Well isnt it wonderful that the party that is supposed to represent compassion and caring for their fellow man put their agenda for power and perversness over the deaths of those same fellow americans.

This is why liberalism will never be mainstream because liberals talk out of both sides of their mouths and usually what comes out makes no sense to even themselves.

Another member, "zulchzulu," implied that he/she would like to see President Bush dead. "We can only hope that Bush doesn't make it through four years," he/she said. "The day Bush is no longer president before the term ends will be a national week-long holiday in my World."

Yes that compassion and caring just shines through don't it ? they speek of freedom but seek to supress what freedoms they dont agree with and impose freedoms that they think we need supressing free thought unless it's liberal free thought is their goal for over fifty years they have been breeding hate and seperation between classes but now they must come to the realization that their form of freedom isn;t as widly accepted as they thought and their power is virtually non-existant

Wanting the president dead is not compassion for your party it's vitrial hate these types of people will with all verasity would perpetuate a crime for not beleifs but for hatred toward another fellow man purely for power and perversness !

One member, "Big Blue Marble," said "I have lived 61 years, lost my parents and my sister plus many many pets and this is the darkest day of my life."

This makes one wonder if he ever loved those things he lost or did he just use them as stepping stones to further an agenda I know i would be devistated if i had lost my parents A kerry presidency would have thrown us straight into a socialist communist state something my father fought and my grandfather fought and something i hope and pray my children or grandchildren never have to see !

In closing i wish all the liberals well and ask them to step away from the edge of anarchy because the things they speek of is not what they beleive but what they have been brainwashed to think about ANYONE who does not walk lockstep into their way of thought

Freedom walks hand in hand with law and morality
Anarchy is lawless and Imoral ......fascism ,communism, marxism and stalinism has bred one other ISM through now and that ISM is LIBERALISM

We are supposed to reach across the aisle to these people? No, I will reach across and (fill in the blank).

This is why I have virtually no DemocRAT friends anymore. I don't respect most of them. Not all, but most.

No kidding. They throw the word "fascist" around pretty freely (check out Democrats.org webmeister Bob Fertik's "Fascist America" statement today - sickening). If we did what they did, said what they said, they would be rightfully worried about the future of the First Amendment.

This is true. The reason 9/11 was depressing was because for a while, it upstaged them. They had to patiently wait until things could all be about them again. But this election is more depressing, because they are starting to realize that no, things really aren't about them after all.

DU traitors, saboteurs and 5th columnists voluntarily out themselves on this thread with their true identities.

Nice of them to provide us with a comprehensive Enemies List.
