NICE! It was so cool to see freepers hitting the ground hard after a day of celebration. I am totally on board with this issue.

This is the same POS Lawyer that brought us the magic bullet theory! But it must be noted that he was reelected in a blue state that voted for Skerry.

Keep in going - being from the Commonwealth of PA, I voted for the conservative, Toomey in the Primary - he lost a close battle to Spector. In the general election, I could not vote for Spector - my vote went for Constitutional Party Candidate,
Clymer. We should not allow Spector control of the Judiciary Committee!

Already called Senator Shelby and Senator Sessions (who I'm sure will be supportive of our effort, since he was 'borked'). Tried to call Frist yesterday, but line was busy.

You can find your senator's website by going to

I called both of my GOP Senators from Texas today and told them that I was diametrically opposed to Arlen Specter being head of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Question: Do those staffers really pass those messages on from the constituents? Can anyone enlighten me?

Spector's not dumb, and he saw the way the wind was blowing. He has been a stong supporter of the Second Amendment, and deserves to be given a chance. Besides, it is much more harmful to a Senator's career to have a chairmanship revoked by members than to deny that position to someone based on phony quotes by liberals.

People shouldn't worry so much about Specter, he supported Thomas, and I think he has supported all of the people Bush has sent up in his first term. Look, Specter is weak on many issues, but that is why you don't have to worry, specter doesn't have the backbone to try and stop any of Bush's judicial nominees. If he ever did stand against one, it would be one with no pray of getting 50 votes on the floor.

I just tried to call my Senators' offices and can't get through. Thank Laura Ingraham for a complete list of all Senators numbers on her website. Ol' Specter is as good as done.........unless Frist gets weak-spined. I called his office yesterday.

Sent this to half a dozen Judiciary members & followed w phonecalls:

Please ensure that Arlen Spector is NOT appointed to the Judiciary Committee!
Certainly NOT the chairman!

I don't need to hear about how he "qualified" his earlier statements.
I heard his original statement, and words mean things.
Consevatives won this election and its up to the liberals to move to the right, not vice versa.

sent letter to FristThe Honorable Senator Frist:

bill_frist@frist.senate.gov

The Honorable Senator Frist:

Specter has thrown down the gauntlet...quite brazenly.

We are now watching to see if you will cede the field, or stand and deliver.

We didn't come this far to have President Bush's (and yours too,) MANDATE elbowed aside by one who is determined to impose HIS ideology on the Supreme Court with a litmus test re: Roe vs Wade.

He trumpets the liberals modus operandi - accusing the conservatives of what the liberals are actually doing.

These people will not recognize that a Republican President has every bit the right in choosing judges as a liberal president. They demand that THEY get to choose as they see fit, but that a Republican President ALSO must bow to their choice.

We have a mandate now as never before. It was a disgrace to give in to the democrats last time in sharing power and committees and in letting them get away with the "60 votes" debacle.

We are watching to see if you have the backbone to stand behind the mandate we delivered to you - and we will remember, whichever way you choose. Please remember where the strength is now. We're behind you. Don't fritter away our power.

Thank you, Sincerely,

P.S. Do not hide behind Specter's "pull back' rhetoric. That is simply another liberal ruse: when slapped hard up side the head, they mouth whatever will get them a pass. He is not sincere. His true colors have been unveiled.

a quote from interview with Specter about combing over the record of any proposed judge
