I received the letter below from Carol Gell Crowley, who may be a Veteran in her own right.
Her father was Sgt. Jack Earl Gell, killed in action on 11-14-1965. You may have seen the movie about her father and the men with whom he served.
They fought in the Ia Drang Valley, and were made the subject of Mel Gibson's movie, "WE WERE SOLDIERS," taken from the book of the same title.
As a Vietnam Veteran, I too noticed the gratuitous insult that John Kerry tossed away in his concession speech.
At first I was insulted, but then the day passed and it was softened as I realized the high complement that I, and all my comrades, had received. We worked so hard to make sure that America found out the truth about John Kerry' service, later treason and his final false accusations. Those were the same accusations that led to additional torture and suffering for many prisoners of war.
Many Americans didn't actually understand that the Swiftvets book was entirely accurate. Out of the hundreds of facts presented, the Kerry apologists were only able to find two or three things, with which to find fault. And those items were addressed and answered.
The Kerry media repeated the words "discredited" and "debunked" over and over, until many people believed it to be so.
Tonight I saw Ron Reagan Jr. on the Chris Matthews Hardball TV show. He was saying that the Swiftvets were all a bunch of liars. Our work is not finished. Many people believe us to be a Republican Front...The Democrat Party did their dirty work. Because of their behavior, presenting me with John Kerry, as my candidate, I am now an Independent. I assume that many of you,who are Democrats, voted other than John Kerry and then voted for your other Democrat candidates.
May God bless you. As a reward, your Party may now give you, and all of us, a candidate of higher character, to consider.
The reason, that John Kerry insulted us, was because we were the ones who denied him just enough votes, and brought about his loss in his ill begotten bid for the Presidency. I hope he stands for the office again in 2008. It will give us the opportunity to reach those who did not get the word this time around. We will be able to inform the public that the man that Kerry pulled Rasmun out of the water, and vouched for Kerry's veracity, lied about himself being wounded on that day and received an unearned purple heart himself.
It will give us the opportunity to spread the word about the Vietnamese Communist papers found in the Texas University. The ones that outline their plan to work with John Kerry's group Vietnam Veterans Against the War. It will also give us the opportunity to inform America about his dishonorable discharge from the Navy that President Jimmy Carter changed to an honorable discharge, six years later. Since these last two items have only come to light in the last week, hardly anyone knows about them.
Vietnam Veterans, all other Veterans and active duty personnel, I believe, make up a total of about 26 or 28 million men and women. We have mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, children, cousins, aunts, uncles, husbands, wives, girlfriends, boyfriends and plenty of friends. I am sure that we convinced enough people of our case, to cost him at least 3 million votes. And John Kerry is pissed at us, enough to try to insult us one last time...well it won't work with me.
I hope that someone will take the time to interview his "Band of Brothers," now that he no longer has any use for them. My guess is that he paid them each a lump sum and had them sign a confidentiality agreement.
I am not going to make myself crazy over it, but we should try to see that he is relieved of his senatorial position. This traitor should have no say over our Armed Forces in any way. I am concerned that he may start working against them and against the Veterans, out of revenge. No, what I did was not revenge. You and I helped to set the record straight for all of our comrades on the Wall. May they rest in peace.

I agree
From My Uncle today, a Vietnam Vet:
Thank you, precious Lord -- You set up kings and brings them down -- for
your mercy and grace to this our Nation . . . one more time! Please,
God, may it not be in vain! Search our hearts and forgive us our sins,
individually and nationally. Soften our hearts and cause the Name of
your Son to be glorified.
With thankful and grateful heart!
I just posted this in another thread, but wanted to get it out to as many people as I could.

From Kerry's concession speech:
"I want to thank my crewmates and my friends from 35 years ago, that great band of brothers who crisscrossed this country on my behalf for 2004.
They had the courage to speak the truth back then and they spoke it again this year. And for that, I will forever be grateful."
Kerry is a pud, and his legacy is shot to hell. He's going to crack up!
Kerry should be tried for treason. Keep the faith and thank you for your service!
Count me in! He does not run for re-election until 2008.
He has four years to sabotage the country even further.
I am with you 100%
It aint over until John F Kerry is in disgrace and the majority of US citizens see him for the traitor he truly is
He has no right to be a US Senator and it is insane to let him chair or sit on any Intelligence Committee responsible for the security of US troops or citizens..
The widows and orphans of our POW MIAs who Kerry sold out to the North Vietnamese communists deserve better ..deserve justice....Kerry must answer for what he has done
imo
I am concerned that he may start working against them and against the Veterans, out of revenge.
Of course he will be out for revenge. That's the kind of man he is.
He's wanted to be Pres all his life and now, he never will be.
He has the money and connections to cause the Swift Vets a lot of trouble.
Thank you Viet Nam vets for saving us from the person guilty of treason with less than honorable discharge.
That is until Carter gave him a good one.
Dr Letson the Doctor who treated Kerry for his first wound is from my home town.
I hope you don't have to do more work as swift boat vets.
How do I go about getting hold of Marty Sinclair.
I think that I may know him. We did the same kind of work in the same areas of Nam.
We need him on our team once again.
