The other side may be euphoric, but the intensity of their happiness can't match the intensity of our despair. Honest conservatives, even those who admire President Bush, know he didn't earn a second term. They know he staked his presidency on a catastrophe, and that, by all rights, Iraq should be his political epitaph. Their victory, while sweet, can't be fully enjoyed because it isn't fully deserved.
....
But cultural sensitivity is one thing; principle is another. In their attempts to win rural voters, Democrats have already essentially abandoned gun control. That doesn't keep me up at night. But gay marriage is different. The fact that it is widely unpopular cannot obscure the fact that it is morally momentous and morally right...

The clown has no clue what a conservative is.
What went wrong? Coors and Keyes lost. That's about it.

Wanna bet?
AFIAC, Gays can do whatever they want. And they should have the same protections/rights as married couples.
Just don't demand we sanctify it by calling it marriage.
The question is what do they consider "morally wrong"?
Earn a second term> He most certainly did. What did Kerry earn? Ever?
Let's not give them any clues.
and Coors lost because of a publicized canadian gay fest hosted by Coors Brewing Company Inc.
Oh, and the lesbians on the women's Silver Bullet baseball team...
They. Still. Just. Don't. GET. It. :)
"Gay marriage is morally right?"
Have them name be a single culture in the last 100,000 that had men marrying men and women marrying women. What ever the heck the gays are doing, it does not merit being called marriage and even if it is called marriage, it still is not marriage.
peter beinart is a little pissant that needs another smackdown like the whoopass that Ann Coulter put on his smarmy butt at amherst college shown on C-Span a few weeks ago.
With thinking like this we will gain 10 seats in the House and be at 65 in the Senate come 2006. Keep it up lefties.
Here's the deal about gay anything. The libs are in panic mode. A friend of mine has a sister who is gay and works for George Soros. He loves her. I like her a lot but hey, no one is going to take away her life, liberty, etc. But it is a huge step to anoint her joining with another woman as a marriage. I saw a video clip last night on the news of two jewish men, under the canopy, stomping on the wine glass. I'm not Jewish but I know that the symbology there is the breaking of the hymen, the acceptance from the community, and the procreation of children. Two men doing that is just too bizarre.
Being too Christian. Saying no to their world view.
Prayer . . . and the various habits and behaviors which often accompany it.
< Their victory, while sweet, can't be fully enjoyed because it isn't fully deserved. >
Dang. I'm doing an awful lot of enjoying for someone who can't.
