Maybe I'm being an alarmist about TT's health. I suspect that I may not look as vibrant as I did 4 years ago, either. Anyway, I'm glad to share your opinion of Secretary (Governor) Thompson. All the best,

Lando

He's been a real trooper. He never wanted that position from the start, he wanted transportation. He did a GREAT job, and actually, perhaps he'll take transportation when they get rid of Mineta.

He may just want out of DC though, it's got to be a tough place to live when you are used to middle America.

or Franks should.

I want Rummy to stay, but if he has to leave because he's sick of Washington, I hope Tommy takes his place.

Good riddance, I say.

Too bad he didn't leave sooner.

from ABC News

WASHINGTON Dec 3, 2004 — Health and Human Services Secretary Tommy Thompson resigned Friday, warning of a potential global outbreak of the flu and health-related terror attacks. "For the life of me, I cannot understand why the terrorists have not attacked our food supply because it is so easy to do," he said.

Thank you Tommy for broadcasting that to the terrorists. I'm sure they will be grateful for that information.

[Maybe his 'departure' should have been much sooner.]
