It's not just because of his homosexuality or extra-marital affairs that he should resign. It's mostly because he was running one of the most corrupt administrations ever in a state that is notorius for corrupt administrations. Patronage, cronyism, kickbacks, bribes, etc. are why he needs to both resign and be prosecuted. How's he going to handle his trials while Governer?

Hey! His mother was a woman, so I reckon he can change his mind. Matter of fact, seems like HE is a woman too, so he gets to change his mind twice as much!

He can have all the 2nd thoughts he wants. He'd be impeached in a nanosecond. Might actually be a good exorcism for New Jersey to go through, so that all of the corruption could see the light of day...

Moreso shades of former Arkansas Governor Jim Guy Tucker who was convicted of Fraud in the Whitewater scandal. He was to resign, and at the last moment decided not too. There were a couple days of confusion as Jim Huckabee waited to take the reins.

Good, as long as he runs again. We'll CRUSH him if he runs again. It doesn't even matter who we run. We could run a dogcatcher against him and win.
