Sean Hannity ***THANK YOU*** Thread
11/4/04 | Self

Posted on 11/04/2004 11:26:30 AM PST by NYC Republican

I wanted to thank Mr. Hannity on a FANTASTIC performance throughout the election.

He's the reason I started listening to talk radio several years back, and was an enormous source of inspiration during a really difficult afternoon on Tuesday.

Discounting the exit polls, Sean's passionate pleas to get out and vote, having this garbage poll data in front of him and not dwelling on it, made the difference, IMO... He was fantastic... He could have accepted a Skerry victory, and that would have made his show more valuable to him (an easy target to knock each day), but he chose to take one last stand, and it worked... Anyone listening to Sean that day witnessed one of the turning events on radio - someone who, in the face of mass adversity, came out with his battle cry, and succeeded...

When Rush started to waver - on Monday and Tuesday, he seemed really down and docile, Sean's optimism really came out...

NO one has worked harder for conservative causes. NO one has more influence (#2 radio show, coupled with FOX News, surpasses even Rush). NO one has worked harder at educating people on the issues, converting soccer moms, and now, security moms. NO one has been more of a President Bush supporter than Mr. Hannity.

He has the guts to bombard the Clintons, call out liberals on their lies, FULLY support the SwiftVets - not only on radio - where others like Rush, Laura, and Savage also stood behind them, but on his TV program. When everyone else was afraid to touch the race-baiting ads, Sean NEVER waivered- he played the commercials on his FOX TV program...

Those who belittle him (he wrote a book? he's an intellectual light-weight... etc) - save it, and shove it. This man has done a fantastic service to our country, and we should appreciate the fact that he's on OUR side.

Thank you very much Mr. Hannity.

I don't think W could have done it without Hannity, Limbaugh, Ingraham, etc. I don't think Hannity, etc. could have done it without W.

I was a poll worker so did not go thru the early vote trauma. Our turnout was spectacularly high in a rather evenly divided political area which was very much in support of the marriage amendment. Sean Hannity may or may not have influenced our turnout but I know from listening to him these past few months that he has to have had a huge impact on the voter turnout nationally. I admire his dedication and hard work for President Bush's reelection and the military who serve this country. I do not care for his TV program because I cannot stomach RATs and their talking point mentality. Sean has a strong constitution so I leave that battle to him. Thank you Sean for all you do for America. Also, thanks to your wife who must be doing her part to enable you to do your demanding job. I think we got a twofer with the Hannitys. God bless you both.

Not the biggest Hannity fan here, but I tip my hat to the man. He was a true soldier throughout this campaign. Thanks, Sean!

The turning point, im my keeping my sanity during Tuesday's election, was Sean's discussion with Ralph Reed from Florida... Ralph told us to discount the exit polls, that they've exceeded all of their targets in every precint, and fully expected to win... THAT's where the tide started turning, at least for me... At least until I turned on Fox, and the All-Stars were doom and gloom.

... I just felt Sean's last-minute GOTV effort, along with traveling to the battleground states the whole week, was amazing.

AGREED, DITTO to that, it deserves repeating!!!

Credit given where it is due.

That last round of rallies was quite something.

And Cincinnati seems to have put the President back in office.

I don't mind thanking Sean for his efforts, but I am tiring of him thanking me, as if I voted Republican just because of him. I wish he would knock it off...now.

If this can go over the 60 million mark, with absentee/overseas votes, THAT would be awesome, as well as putting Iowa in the GOP column.

OK, I'm somewhat a newbie but hear me out. Yes, Sean poured his heart out to get people to overcome those exit polls but I have issues with him.

He was sucking up to Drudge who carried the flawed {or fraudlent}exit polls like he does any and every one who comes on his radio show. I've heard him fawn over the most vitriolic Liberals almost weekly.

I appreciate he hung tough on Tuesday and pleaded for folks to keep voting but I don't like this big flaw he has.

Sean has already started his crusade of defeating Hillary... He keeps playing her shrill speech where she says "we have the right to disagree with this or any adminsistration"...

She sounds as looney as Dean during his "I have a Scream" speech. LOL

He needs to do that to get them on his show periodically... He almost never lets them get away with their lies, however... Witness his interaction with Ted Kennedy- he pounded Ted.

Sean was fully panicked Tuesday. He all but begged people to vote after reading the exit polls.

Up until this election, exit polls had been quite accurate. I think it's forgiveable that he believed them at the time. I'm sure no conservative ever will again though.
