33% of C section in NYC are defensive. And just try to find one. We know.

Edwards has had a substantial impact on limiting REAL medical services to millions of americans.

Just sent a note of prayer to the link you provided. Thank you for offering that up.
I was over at the DU looking at their reactions to the election (scary stuff) and saw this news come up on the sidebar and came back here to get the news. They said we would be vicious about it. I had more faith and it was borne out with a few exceptions. Cancer is always a sobering development in life and one that can strike anyone of us at anytime. My family will be lifting the Edwards' family up in prayer, just as we did the Cheney family when she made that hurtful remark to them.
Cancer often times demands a new ordering of our lives, I know it did in our family.

The news said she found it last week and waited to go due to the campaign. I'm just repeating what I heard.

You need to drug your friends and drag them to the doctor. I get downright nasty with my friends when they pull that crap. I really do.

All these women that gave birth and raised children are all of a sudden afraid when something hits their health. They need to be reminded how strong they are, cuz having kids and raising a family ain't for the weak!

Well, hopefully she gets treatment in a state where there are still some practicing doctors....

LOL good point.

I hope she found it early enough to have a successful outcome. I had cancer in 1985 and successfully beat it. A female co-worker in my office was diagnosed with breast cancer around the same time. I attended her funeral a year later. My mother-in-law was diagnosed with breast cancer in February 1996. Her funeral was in May 1996. Breast cancer can be very aggressive.

That's a terrible thing and I am sorry and hope she beats it.

Incidently, my daughter had that, twice. On the first occasion it was diagnosed as IBC or, Inflamatory Breast Carcinoma - about the worst one can get.

Doctors here told her it would probably be fatal but began treating her with the usual chemicals - advocated even stronger treatment and she had surgery.

I searched the Internet exhaustively, all day, every day but found nothing to change the outlook except when I ran across a published report from a doctor in France who said there were three subsets of that cancer. American doctors knew nothing about that.

Of the three sub-sets, two were almost always fatal but one was relatively non-fatal. We examined the tell-tale indications and her surgeon, who had never heard of that diagnosis, confirmed my daughter had the least serious.

My daughter lived and is doing fine today - 8 years later. The follow-up treatment advocated by American doctors could have killed her and absolutely would have harmed her seriously.

We owe the Internet for saving her life and Dr. Bonnier from Marcellies, France. There are good things I can say about some Frenchmen, very good things.

I'm very sorry. Cancer is not something I would wish on anyone except those islamic fanatics that are beheading innocent people.

May Elizabeth Edwards receive better treatment from her doctors than they received from her as a doctor-destroying trial lawyer.

a pity for sure, but good luck finding a doctor to treat the wife of the most vicious medical malpractice attorney in the nation...what goes around comes around I guess.

She was a "successful" one herself...do not forget (doctors don't).

Her cancer is the invasive type which can spread throughout her body within 3-6 months. My friend had breast cancer like Elizabeth's and my friend died within 3 months.
