Now he has to go home to MamaT. I can almost feel sorry for him--almost.

I am surprised that they can find a doctor willing to treat her. At least she won't be taking up a bed in Walter Reed.

Unfit for command . . .indeed.
To: SilentServiceCPOWife
Gotta give McCain some credit for saying that. No kidding. I'll take back about half of the mean things I've ever said about McCain, if he actually adamantly refused to do something advantageous because it would be unconstitutional.

"I will be eternally thankful that this crass, elitist snob was rejected by the American people....."
IMHO, we dodged a rather large and deadly bullet.
Kudos to McCain for rebuffing this snob.

Why did McCain hide this from the voting public when it is so vital to our national security!

>>"Why the f--- didn't he take it?" he wondered when Republican Sen. John McCain refused to be his running mate a half-dozen times.
Most of us, including myself, have railed on McCain often and loudly, but in retrospect, he DOES deserve some thanks for the support he gave the Republicans and Dubya.
To: anniegetyourgun
Thank God he didn't get elected! Totally classless.

Damn nice...
I can say no more.

Kerry could have signed a form 180 and shut the Swift Boat Vets up. He refused to sign it and thus the rumors swelled that he received a dishonorable discharge.
On Saturday before the election I watched "Stolen Honor" with tears in my eyes. I watched the boys, that EARNED their medals, relate the truth about John Kerry and the influence he had on their lives as prisoners of war. Men with Purple Hears, Silver Stars without a combat V, Bronze stars with combat V's, and one Congressional Medal of Honor recipient that suffered because of a traitor. If it had been just one person, I could have dismissed it. But 250 Vets ...no way.

Because it was probably spoken about in confidence. Even if stated, Kerry would have denied it. Would have turned into an ugly pissing match. IMHO.

Kerry, though, wouldn't go to any lengths for political gain. When Bill Clinton advised him to back laws banning gay marriage to pick up swing voters, he demurred, telling aides, "I'm not ever going to do that." Confirmation of the obvious lay of sKerry's position on moral values. (Or should that be his immoral values?)
To: tiki
Thanks for suggesting we read the whole article. Isn't it interesting that all the inside stuff on Kerry is about his cursing, his attempt to subvert the Constitution with the offer to McCain, his indecisiveness, his arrogance, etc. while the inside scoop on the President is about teasing Rove and smart campaign strategy?
To: smiley
Sean feels that the Democrats are going even more to the left and will be even more vicious to this President than ever realized before. If true, we'll just have to repeat 2004 in 2008 and this time push the liberal socialist down even farther. They underestimate the strength of the vast right wing of the United States.
Bush was elected in 2000, but with a smaller majority. This time the majority was overwhelming. Over 3 million voters rejected liberalism, and they still have not learned. They have underestimated our president, and have paid dearly for the privilege. They underestimate the conservatives in this country and will pay a greater price in the future.

I suspect his campaign team did not respond to the Swifties right away because they were afraid it might all be true and did not want to give them any publicity. If they believed it to be false, they would have responded right away.

Seems that any time there was a big decision to make, he'd call about 100 friends to find out what they thought he should do. His vacillation in reaching decisions slowwed the whole campaign process. Now we know why it took him 45 minutes to get out of the Capitol Building on 9/11:
He was polling his friends to find out if he should leave, or head for the basement bunker.

And on top of all this-n-that, I swear the man was totally drunk the last night of the GOP Convention when he and his side-kick stooge showed up at midnight...somewhere in Ohio, I believe. It was THAT night, at THAT moment, when I felt SURE there was no way he'd win this election. What he pulled that night was so tacky, so desperate. Most of the MSM hardly covered but a few minutes of the appearance. He showed what a real phony, joke-of-a-candidate he was that night.
