I was born and raised in the Cincy area - and I've been away for 17 years. (Our families are still there)

My family and I STILL miss the area - and we would go back in a heartbeat, if we could. We're in southern IN (metro Louisville) and it's not nearly conservative as Cincy - BUT - for the first time in 40 years - the 9th District in Indiana - now has a Republican Congressman!! YEAH!!

The Cuyahoga Co. Rs deserve special kudos!

Thanks. Going door to door inside of the city limits of Cleveland was fun.

Have to break Cleveland, too.

We are going to do it. It's going to take a lot of volunteers.

Hi dubya. Seems like Fox News is giving ya'll some good publicity!

Called Summit Co. Headquarters...I made a lot of phone calls from there last week.

The President won the same % here this time as last time.....Would have been nice if we'd increased, but maybe that was our goal, and we achieved that: Not to lose ground.

We sure put out a huge effort to maintain that %. The young man who answered my question sounded happy.

I am a resident off of Bethel Road. Franklin County has changed a bit in the last few years. My area up here was B-C.
There are many problems here in Franklin County affecting the Republican Party.
For many years, the Republican Party was solid in Franklin County. They became complacent and lazy. A scandal in the Franklin County Clerk of Courts office was the backbreaker in the late 1990s. Ever since then, Democrats have had the momentum in this county.
There has been a recent leadership change in the Franklin County GOP. It probably was for the better as the former chairman had some health problems. I have heard from some people that the events in Columbus for Bush (Arnold at Nationwide, the 72-hour performance) probably would not have happened if the election was one year ago. So there has been improvement. It is gut check time for the Franklin County Republican Party. There are candidates out there that can win. It is all about getting the job done. For the last few years, the Franklin County GOP has not.

John Kerry : "I should have worked harder to get Ohio. I should have mentioned my favorite Red Sox player, Manny Ortez (sic), used to play for the Indians!" (just kidding; he didn't really say that!)

From Carlisle, Ohio (NW Warren County): It was absolutely amazing. My precinct turned out 850/1000 of registered voters. I estimate we voted 90% GOP! I stood in-line for 2.5 hours. The GOP had poll watchers, read yesterday's Wall Street Journal. I am proud to be GOP. One more thing...Ken Blackwell for Gov then Pres.
