. . . and Kerry's lost chance
Boston Herald ^ | 11/04/04 | Boston Herald editorial staff

Sen. John Kerry [related, bio], insisting that ``America is in need of unity'' and that it is time ``to find common ground,'' missed an opportunity to advance that cause yesterday.
In his concession speech Kerry - as is his habit - lectured President Bush [related, bio] without ever extending his own support, his help in advancing that ``healing'' agenda he so appropriately called for.

``America is in need of unity and longing for a larger measure of compassion,'' he said. ``I hope President Bush will advance those values in the coming years.''
Bush, on the other hand, spoke directly to Kerry's supporters, noting, ``A new term is an opportunity to reach out to the whole nation. We have one country, one Constitution and one future that binds us. And when we work together there is no limit to the greatness of America.''
Kerry did say, ``We must succeed in Iraq'' and ``win the war on terror.'' What that means in this post-election season we're not at all sure. How or whether he intends to help the president accomplish those goals, he didn't say.

How or whether he intends to help the president accomplish those goals, he didn't say.

His continued absence from Senate votes would be the best help that he could provide.

ACADEMIC JARGON

"As concerns this question, our inspired Founder instructs us that the fealty due from the Ultimate in connection with and subjection to the intermediate and the inferential, these being of necessity subordinate to the Auto-Isothermal, and limited subliminally by this contact, which is in all cases sporadic and incandescent, those that ascend to the Abode of the Blest are assimilated in thought and action by the objective influence of the truth which sets us free, otherwise they could not." .....It was just a snow-flurry on a warm day: every flake was distinct and perfect, but they melted before you could grab enough to make a ball out of them.

Kerry, just like Ted Kennedy, is long on talk and short on action. I really hope that the SBVT and others get out the real Kerry record. Not so much to embarrass or destroy Kerry, but to embarrass and destroy the MSM who failed to even look into the story. Remember Russet, the potato, refused to show the NBC tapes of Kerry in 1971 at the Congressional hearings.

As usual, Kerry leads with the common ground bull... It's in his best interest to do so because he knows that General Tommy Franks and the Swiftboat Vets have asked the Justice Department to investigate his military service.

You see - Evidence suggests that John Kerry was NOT eligible to be president. The 100 pages missing from his military record more than likely contained detailed information about his less than honorable discharge. He admitted that his military record was not public.

In my opinion, even though Jimmy Carter gave him an honorable discharge, Kerry's record probably included details about treason and seditious behavior against the USA.

I hope the charges go forward. America cannot afford to continue to appease the enemy within.

When I first saw this photo of John Kerry being consoled by his running mate my first thoughts were that Edwards had tight control over Kerry. Kinda like a puppet. The reason I thought that goes back to one of the first interviews I had seen with Kerry and Edards together. The younger candidate kept jumping in to save the older. Very Strange, indeed . . . Oh, well . . .

Kerry is going to run again. This is WHY he didn't drag out the vote counting.

The battle for the soul (such as it is) of the Democrat Party began anew yesterday. John Edwards somehow feels he still has a place in the leadership and direction of the party and will do just about anything to get it. The war to come between Edwards and Hillary may hasten the demise of the Rats.

Kerry disgusts me but I did like the one line in his speech yesterday,

"In America, there are no losers. We wake up the next morning and we're still an American."

Almost Peggy Noonanish.

Kerry is going to run again.

No effin' way he will run, and no effin' way he would win the nomination if he did.

He is forever branded a loser. He might hang on to his senate seat in my benighted commonwealth of Massachusetts, but even that seems kind of iffy from where I sit.

Kerry looks kinda hollow to me in this photo, sorta like Dan Rather. He looks like the world just fell in on him. You hit the nail directly.

That's what they said about Nixon after his sore-loser act that followed the defeat by Kennedy.

All of the Democrat operatives that I saw on television say they want the nation to unite. However, these people think it's BUSH and the Republicans who should cave to the Democrat's positions.

Sigh. I'll be surprised at any support the Democrats give to War on Terror.

I hope the Republicans in the Senate can show some backbone and finally get a vote on judges.

Don't be so easy on Kerry. Look at the modified quote below and remember a certain flyer handed out at a local DNC HQ in one of the mid-atlantic states (IIRC).

"In America the Special Olympics, there are no losers real winners. We wake up the next morning and we're still an American retarded."

Just keeping his mouth shut while holding all of the other Dem appeaser mouths shut, will do nicely.

GMTA! However there's this thing called the internet that's much more efficient.

Come on John! Release the plans! Save our soldiers. Save our economy. Save Social Security.Save our environment. SOS! Give them up!

My bet: There's not even a napkin with his "plans" ... ;-)
