Do you think the final result of the US election will be an endorsement of the democratic process? YES or NO
Do you think the final result of the US election will be an endorsement of the democratic process?
41% YES 59% NO
Do people prefer that their leaders are selected for them? Sheesh what nitwits
the question is dumb too -
hey but when it comes to international affairs so is the Irish Times!!
Freeped and Bumped
That poll is indeed idiotic and the Eurotrash responding to it with their comments don't know a damn thing about our democratic process. They need to look in a mirror.
SO TRUE. THIS COUNTRY IS SO AWESOME IN ITS MAJESTY THAT THE REST OF THE WORLD IS CLUELESS. LIVE IN ALASKA, MONTANA OR SOMEWHERE OUT WEST AWAY FROM THE LEFT COAST AND YOU WILL BE LEFT SPEECHLESS IN THE BLESSINGS OF SUCH A FREE COUNTRY. IT ALSO HELPS TO COME FROM ONE OF THE LIBERAL BASTIONS OF PEACE AND TOLERANCE LIKE MASS OR CAL TO SEE WHAT IS TRULY HERE.
Admittedly, many people have a simplistic view of democracy where each vote necessarily counts the same as every other within a nation. This sounds perfectly correct on the surface. In a Federal Republic, such as the U.S., this is in fact the case, but within each State. Essentially, what these same people want is the abolition of the state level of government. By their lights, national government must be centralized or it's not really legitimate.
totally - some of the comment makers have no clue about the nature of the United States of America, the name of the country should give them some clue, don't ya think???
