We can thank Carl Rove for his support of Mr. Specter in the vain hope that he would deliver Pennsylvania. Another reason why I say Rove is luckier than he will ever be good.

Spector would have lost the primary if GW didn't stump for him. He also would have lost the general if republicans didn't think that 'half of a republican' is better than no republican at all. He should be working with those who put him back in office rather than working against them. What is with this man?????? Now I wish that I would have voted against this SOB........

Here we go again. THOSE RINO's have too much power. They need to be removed from these positions.

"It is forgotten in all this that Bush said he would not have a 'litmus test' of nominating judges."Why does the above mean Bush will nominate good solid conservative judges?
If anything to me it means sometimes his nominees may be conservative and sometimes not.
I found that statement troublesome.

Why Santorum and Bush thought loyalty in the primary to this backstabbing traitorous Republican, over a loyal, honest, Conserative Republican like Toomey, was GOOD POLITICS is just beyond me.

Spector helped to cover up the truth about the Oklahoma City bombing. He should be rejected for treason.

Not only did he do nothing to help Bush, he had his name displayed on the same campaign sign as Kerry. There were Kerry/Specter signs in a number of places in Suburban Philadelpia.

We were vindicated before the election, in the general primary. Specter said in his debate, he would see to it that "centrist" judges were appointed, and he had his name on campaign signs with Kerry(i.e. Kerry/Specter) signs.

"First, Bush isn't going to nominate some fire-breathing conservative with a proven track record of wanting to overturn Roe v. Wade. It's just too much of a political headache. It's far better to nominate judges without a trail of writings and speeches on the subject. Why give Spector and the abortionists any ammo going in?" Oh, sure--THAT is a truly intelligent approach. Bush I tried texactly that----and the result was DAVID SOUTER!!!! One "hopes" that Bush II has learned from his father's BAD mistake.
