I would personally hope that specter hope that specter jumps even though we would lose a seat in the seante and then we could appoint a real party cooperative to be on the judiciary commitee.

Chaffee won't jump; there is no benefit to doing so. It won't swing the Senate, and he will be giving up the power that comes with being in the Majority party.

Max Baucus will if he knows what's good for him. So will Tim Johnson. Ben Chandler from Kentucky possibly, although his grandfather was such a legendary democrat he probably won't.

For all the whining around here that Bush isn't 'conservative enough' why would anyone want anyone from the Dem party to come over?
