CNN Headline News | 11-3-04

Posted on 11/03/2004 11:20:29 AM PST by My Favorite Headache

No link to this yet but will be one shortly...was on Headline News....estimates show P.Diddy and Russel Simmons "Vote or Die" project failed miserably yesterday and was actually over shadowed by the Christian Youth Vote 4 to 1.

Estimates show some 47% of those who were newly registered....slept in or were no show's.

Rock The Vote hoped to achieve some 25 million new voters to the polls...estimates show they got 6 million.

False assumption that all young people are mindless boobs who will do what a rap artist or film maker tell them to do. Most of the young people I know are great moral kids. Voted Bush.

Hey, at least they got a free concert out of it. I knew the Dems couldn't depend on those slackers.

I wonder how many of them blew the election off just because everybody THEY knew agreed that Bush was gonna lose, and they thought it wouldn't matter...

Or possibly, they didn't exist and are fraudulent registrations?

People who can't take care of their own existence, cannot be counted on to be dependable at the ballot box... pure and simple.

Every damned election we have the same crap...the youth will swing the election, but it just never happens! Fact is, if your main concern in life is when you are going to get laid or drunk next, you aren't a reliable voter.

I don't think they should have to die, just move to France where they belong.

(then again, that might be worse than death)

Apathy is normal in young people. It's hormonal. Don't bother trying to change it.

If you could rely on 18-20 year olds to turn out and vote in numbers, the drinking age would be 18 instead of 21.

How do they know none of them voted for President Bush?

They just don't understand that young people are not that different from the rest of America. Get outside of few elite private Universities and fewer public elite schools and they are often conservative children from the middle class.

Turn on MTV today...there is *nothing* on MTV about "Rock the Vote," "Vote or Die," or even the election itself.

Why?

Because MTV only cared about using its audience. Now that the election is over, MTV doesn't even care about using them.

This is typical of how leftist elites view the masses.

Now, mabel. We all know Democrats wouldn't register anything fraudulently. How could you suggest such a notion? :)

MTV is asking people who care more about getting drunk or high than where Iraq is on a world map to act "responsibly" and vote.....

...oh the irony
