Statement by Admiral Roy Hoffmann, founder of Swift Vets and POWs for Truth
NRO: The Corner ^ | November 3, 2004 | Admiral Roy Hoffmann

Posted on 11/03/2004 10:14:54 AM PST by West Coast Conservative

"We are pleased with the fact that we were able to effectively bring attention to our issues and raise questions regarding Senator Kerry’s character, leadership ability and qualifications as a potential Commander in Chief. As we have stated since we formed, we believed that John Kerry’s actions in Vietnam, coupled with the reprehensible statements he made after he returned were serious and consequently made him unfit for command. The primary purpose of our organization was to provide a voice for the courageous and honorable veterans of Vietnam, more than 280 Swift Boat Vets, Coast Guardsmen and POWs who served their country with honor. Our national grassroots efforts produced donors in every state in the nation as we raised more than $26 million, with more than $7 million in online contributions. In addition, Swift Boat Veterans and former POW's visited dozens of states to take their message directly to the American people. We were the true embodiment of grassroots citizen action, complied fully with federal election law and had every right to participate in the public discussion of John Kerry's qualifications as Commander in Chief."

I'd be more interested in having both Kerry and Kennedy
RUN for their offices again in Massachussetts. Can you
envision their being in the Senate when Hillary makes her
bid for 2008? All Massachussetts understands that there is no love lost between these personages who happen to share the same party affiliation.

Way to go Admiral Hoffman and friends.

I'm a Canadian who spent one very memorable Saturday night and Sunday morning on a cold February day two years ago, driving in to look at Ground Zero NYC and then visiting the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the Washington Monument, the Korean War Memorial, and seeing the Pentagon and the nearby Arlington cemetary. The sacrifice and cost of liberty and freedom must continue to be respected and fought for.

It appears to me that there is still a bit of work to be done. Kerry should be made to pay for his apparent violation of the UCMJ when he met with the enemy while "in uniform". His apparently other than Honorable discharge should also be dealt with. He may be ineligible for a Senate seat.

Laws and words mean things, as does the truth. Liberals don't think so, we must show them that they do.

> Mission accomplished, sir!

But the war goes on.

The people of Mass need to know the truth about this fraud.

I'll bet there are some public records on which he admitted
to having an OTH discharge.

And if the SBVFT have any cash leftover, some further
research on PH#2 can't hurt. I heard that historical
weather records for that day would be revealing.

Admiral, I can't thank you enough. I've been waiting decades for you VN vets to speak out. You've done an exemplary job. Bless you and God speed in your endeavors.

The Admiral and his fellow Swiftees sailed straight into the teeth of what they knew would be overwhelming personal attacks by the MSM, but they did it anyway because it was right. We owe you guys a second debt of gratitude!

I think there would have been lesser vote for John "Fraud" Kerry had the Stolen Honor was shown in movie theaters and TV stations. People would have known better whom they were voting for. It's all over. Now is the time to show them in movie theaters and TV stations all over the world who is really John "Fraud" Kerry!

These brave men deserve the Silver Star and the Purple Heart for their bravery in political combat and for the wounds they suffered at the hands of the lying liberal media, who attacked them in the most dishonest and foul manner.

Mission's accomplished. Kerry lost.

No need to kick him while he's down.

BZ--BZ
I think you should finish the job by continuing to work to find out about his discharge. He will still be in the Senate and a certified traitor should be prosecuted.

Sir, I salute you for your duty to your country. Such duty does not end with one's tour of service, but extends beyond that time into our services as citizens of this great country.

Your actions and persistance were subjected to the fire of a partisan press that sought to take our country onto the path of socialist programs, led by a dishonest character who offered persons government services for their votes. Your duty was clear, your mission brilliantly executed.

Not only did you act with honor and distinction, but you led others with such qualities. Your mission was accomplished. Our nation has a president of honor because of your tireless and brave acts.

Thank You, from the bottom of my heart.

Steve

Uh, sorry to respectfully disagree, but the man caused much harm and pain to Viet Nam POW's. So I would love nothing more than to "kick him while he's down". I have the engineering boot from my biker days and would love to shove it up his backside.

Thank you so much, Admiral. I am humbled by the courage and honor shown by the Swiftboat Vets and POWs for Truth during this campaign. I truly feel your group's exposure of John Kerry's dishonor was the chief cause of his defeat.

Signed,

God bless you all. Your contributions to this country were admirable and you did not deserve the welcome you were given. You have achieved your goal and we are all better for it. It's too bad John Kerry had to invoke Vietnam in order to become a candidate for Commander-in-Chief. However, unbeknownst to him he awoke a sleeping giant and the issue he had hoped would hand him the presidency only served to be his demise. The vets have been exonerated and now...thanks to John Kerry... Vietnam is behind us forever.

Thank you all...you are heroes! God bless all the vets, POW's and MIA's.
