I woke up last night around midnight CST and flipped through Fox and the alphabet networks to check the status of the election. I heard analysis on Cbs that credited the republican mobilization of evangelical christians accounting for the strong positive turnout (and potential victory) for GWB in Ohio and other states. In my semi-grogginess it dawned on me that this here-to-fore sleeping demographic may now be targeted for persecution and blamed for the Kerry loss. And here's the corroboration as posted on DU:

12. we lost because of holy rolling rednecks
period
bigotry and religion go hand in hand
Maybe California will outlaw religion now.
When did it become acceptable to post from the DU website again? I thought that was against the rules.
If there's one thing that makes Christians thrive, it's persecution! Bring it ON!
It is hard to kick against the pricks.
That is why we have more minorities in office and in high office than the RATS seem to have. Bigots all of us!
/sarcasm
Mike Barnicle was talking about that on Imus this morning. Mike correctly pointed out that the Dems went to great lengths to insult Middle America and all of the religious beliefs that are held there. It is impossible to do that and take the White House.
Let DU rant all the want. I don't see any reason to try and make them change their tactics.
When it comes to delusional Lefties, I like to play to their worst fears. The agenda:
1. Start up the draft! (Registered Democrats to the top of the list!)
2. Chief...Justice...Scalia
3. Load all Social Security recipients on boxcars.
How could they do that? California has more religions that the rest of the world put together.
Dittos! This may be the last four years Christians have any say whatsoever in the country we founded.
My "prophecy" for the next election is Hillary/Obama '08 and Bubba heading up the UN.
Divided, we fall. And that is what Kerry was hoping for.
Any ideas on how to keep Hollyweird working for the demonrats. They did a great job of mobilizing our base. GOP was running ads in FL encouraging early voting to "drive Michael Moore and the Hollywood crowd crazy". It obviously worked.
Why would California outlaw religion? They've got their 55 EV anyways.
Read up what the bible says about persecution..and feel honored to be persecuted in His name.
Makes me feel good to know that it's being recognised.
moveon.org can finally move on
What is link for DU?
You lost because GOOD DEFEATED EVIL Period!
Selah.
If it's any consolation, the dude probably weights 120 lb and is stoned a good 20% of the time.
AND he doen't believe in the 2nd amendment. :P
Evangelical Christians and Orthodox Jews.
puleeze. i'm over the persecution/sanctimony/martyr talk. life's a b8tch at times for everyone. remember? rain fall on the just and unjust alike. deal with it.
I am proud to be a
