No, sawing a limb off that you're sitting on it's strategy...it's simply foolish.

The Republican will offer as much libertarian meat as he can and the LPs will still demand the legalization of crack.

Hasn't been much, because the LP mouse has not roared very loudly. In WA, now the mouse's roar echoes from border to border.

How do we know that the LP candidate is taking votes that would otherwise have gone to Dino? My understanding is that LP candidates usually takes as many or more votes from the left, especially when they run on a drugs-and-gay-marriage platform like this one did.

It would be great if you could actually persuade someone in the GOP to do what the LP wants instead of yelling at the LP voters "just do what the GOP wants." If the GOP would do what the LP wants, the LP voters would vote for the GOP. How's that for simple?

Al Qaeda loved France. Until the headscarf thing, then France was the ultimate enemy. Why did they attack us on 9/11. The #1 reason was that the US was *gasp* on Saudi soil at the pleading of the Saud family.

The truth is, they hate and are jealous of the West and will make up any reason to oppose us (later Osama saw the utility of blaming Israel.

The LP is the same way. They don't care what the reason is, they make it up. They want to defeat Republicans. That's it. And they don't care who they hurt in the process.

Answer me this: the LP is widely credited with costing Slate Gorton (sp?) the election in WA, giving us two of the most moronic Senators from Washington. How many small government small-l libertarians have been elected to statewide office in Washington?

The LP has been spending a lot of money advertising on Conservative stations; they target the conservative voter hoping to pick off a few.

Rossie didn't lose any votes to the Libertarians. She simply failed to convince them to vote for her.

"It would be great if you could actually persuade someone in the GOP to do what the LP wants instead..."

Your method of persuasion will not get you there.

Leave them in their confused state...they're more fun that way.

When you're dealing with the LP...it's about simple games, childish games.

I'm sure that's how it looks to you.

Gosh, I didn't see that coming. "All libertarians want is drugs."

How nifty of you to think of that catchy, original commentary.

It sure would be nice if you could get your party to actually offer a pork-free budget before you start in on the drug issue. But then, you've always been big on talking conservative and acting statist.

Someone asked just the other day: "So Libertarians are the enemy now?". To which the obvious answer is: What do you mean "now"?

"gay-marriage"

If you will look REAL close, you see that the LP advertises to get the state out of marriage altogether. They don't ask the state to elevate Adam-and-Steve to the level of Adam-and-Eve. Rather they ask the state to not officiate concerning the concept of marriage. Given the current social structure of the USA, that is unrealistic, granted, but the LP will certainly not be adding "state recognition of gay marriage" to their demand list any time in the foreseeable eternity.

Gosh, I bet you're right. They had no impact on this election at all. Nobody even knows who they are.

That's sarcasm in case you missed it because you were too busy being a dumbass.

LOL! Obviously you weren't around here the last time the LP played spoiler in Washington. It looks that way to a whole lot of folks. Which is good. We were actually able to use some of their "we taught them a lesson" comments in voter drives, when people mentioned the LP.

You have no idea how effective that is.
