I can smell a conspiracy.

They say that if you smell it first
its because you are sitting on it!

Zogby tried to enhance his prediction reputation by seizing upon the exit polling. He got burned beyond belief. Come on, Ohio!

So, when they get their "avatar" for voting, do they also get a tinfoil hat? Conspiracy, my rear-end!

A number of the new young voters (like my son) came to me and asked whats up with these issues? we sat down and went line by line on what was true and what was false in these campaigns. How do you think he voted?
The dems truly believed they were tapping into another mindless minority vote block.

Well, the problem here was two-fold. The DUmmies believed the drivel that they have been telling each other for the last year. And they also believed the drivel that the MSM has been pumping out for the last year.

An explanation? They want an explanation? [Done in the Dana Carvey/Church Lady voice:] "Could it be ... Sa..tan!?"

Shadenfreude is such a tacky emotion. Doncha love it?

Too much emotion and not enough logic

That is the reason marxism always eventually fails. But it inflicts a lot of damage along the way.

I've been lurking DU. During the buildup, when Bush was leading in most polls and leading on tradesports and IEM, us freepers were all cautiously optimistic, but the DU crowd was predicting a landslide. People talk about Howard Dean's echo chamber, but I think it's really a liberal echo chamber. They have no sense of reality, just a vision of how they want to change America and a lot of cognitive dissonance that no one else agrees with their vision.

Is it too late for a Kerry camp shakeup.

Those terrible Kerry staffers just didn't let him get his message out. The people still don't know him. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. One excuse after the other. Kerry and his pack of fools just can't accept that the majority of Americans know that abortion is murder, you have to fight terrorism with force not compromise, that government needs to stay out of the health care industry .....

The darkside is worried too- from the election thread:

2. I think I'm going to puke.

25. me too

Deep breaths and the mantra:

President Kerry... President Kerry... President Kerry... President Kerry...

13. Take a break...

I walk away from the television every time it gets to be too much (I know I've reached this point when I feel like I'm going to start crying). I feel your pain, believe me!

Hang in there...

And apparent winner is:

18. That's how I feel too!

Like the keys to you brand new mercedes just fell down the drain sewer grate and you need to be best man at your best friends wedding in 45 minutes!

Please God of all iilegal drugs - have mercy on my soul!!

i know that i run the risk of being flamed, but it is way to early to gloat. and when dubya does win why don't we do it with grace. we are all americans (with slight exceptions on both ends of the ideological divide). this country has been divided in two for too damn long. we need to try to find a way to live together again. i know this sounds like "kum-ba-ya" crap but we are easier to defeat when we are divided and we ARE at war after all.
