'It is what it is'

Just watched Karen Hughes on Fox - great comment she made about Pres Bush hearing the news about early exit polls.

She said that as Air Force One landed and Bush was getting off he looked at her, surprised at the numbers, and said 'It is what it is'.

This is a man who loves God. I know it in my heart. It is what it is.

The President said trust the voters. He trusts God too. Me too! Thy Will be done!

...surprised at the numbers

On the one hand I'm surprised he wasn't monitoring in the air...
But on the other, he's got to be dead tired, and I can see him just putting it into God's hands and taking a nap.

"It is what it is."

Glad to hear W use this phrase, because the most wise boss I've ever had, the man who taught me what I needed to know about business, used to say this all the time. Every time I hear it, which is not often, I think of him!!!

One more reason I really like W. He's just a better man than I realized when I first voted for him. Cool, tough and prayerful. I wish I was more like him.

When I saw the exit polls, I got downright depressed and went searching for the Halloween candy! The President had so much more at stake than I, but took it so calmly and stoicly. Like a man. Like a GREAT man! He has to win or I'm going out for more candy!
