Nick Clooney, father of actor George Clooney, has lost his race for U.S. Representative in Kentucky. With 87 percent of precincts reporting, Republican Geoff Davis had received 55 percent of votes, compared to Clooney's 43 percent. CNN declared Davis the winner. In other House races, Catherine Davis, a Republican, is leading in the race to take over the Georgia seat being vacated by Democrat Denise Majette, who is projected to lose her Senate race against Rep. Johnny Isakson. Davis had 53 percent of the vote, and Democrat Cynthia McKinney had 47 percent with 16 percent of precincts reporting. Also in Georgia, Republcian Rep. Max Burns, was leading challenger John Barrow 56 percent to 44 percent, with 22 percent of precincts reporting. The race for Indiana's Ninth District between Democratic Rep. Baron Hill, and Mike Sodrel for the GOP is still close, but Republican incumbent Chris Chocola is pulling ahead in District 2. Chocola had 55 percent to Democrat Joe Donnelly's 44 percent with 41 percent reporting. In Virginia, the District 2 seat that had been vacated by Republican incumbent Ed Schrock looks like it will go to Thelma Drake, also Republican. With 78 percent of precincts reporting, Drake had 56 percent of votes, and Democrat David Ashe had 44 percent.

I guess he can just hang out in the european mansion John Kerry sold his son.
How was the Clooney race projected - is this a surprise?
Times really jumped the gun on McKinney. She won almost 2-1.
I liked him as movie host on AMC years ago, but that's all I like him for.
I don't know how it was projected but it was promoted and financed by Hollywood. That's what makes his loss ever the more SWEET!
"For those you see, and won't see, in Washington..."
A pile o' Hollyweird $$$ just went down the bidet!
When I was a kid in the Cincy area I thought this guy was OK - then I learned he was WAY out there on the left and it ruined him for me.
That's one reason I hope GW has a decisive victory, because of all the celebs who endorsed Kerry and did campaigning for him.
bttt
My brother in law lives in that district. He is a big gun owner and hunter. Along with many others. He said 2 weeks ago the gun rights issue would do Clooney in.
Same here - I remember him as the news anchor on Channel 12 - and before that, he had a variety show in the morning. My youngest brother was in Cub Scouts with George.
Bwah hahaah aaa
Anyone see TEAM AMERICA? Clooney- you are a Film Actors Guild member (SEE ACRONYM)
Not really. Clooney's been known in the area for years, as a local anchor and TV personality, and then a newspaper columnist. He is just as much of a raging liberal jerkoff as his son, but he spent gobs of cash trying to remake himself as a moderate good ol' boy.
Thankfully, Kentuckians didn't buy it.
I question this report. CSPAN shows Barrow as having beaten Burns. And McKinney, as expected, whipped Davis in a safe Democratic district. Never trust the agenda driven MainStreamMedia, even when it shares our agenda.
