In the midst of a key national election on Tuesday, Texas, the leading death penalty state, took time out to execute a man for a 1990 murder. Clue for Reuters: Texas can actually manage to do more than one thing at the same time, and thus did not need to "take time out" from the election in order to carry out the scheduled execution.
