They gave Kerry Minn, too. I guess provisional ballots only matter where Bush won.

Truer words were never said!

" Our victory won't come for at least 10 days.:-("

I DO hope it turns out this way. It will simply be 10, long, miserable days for the democrats.

10 days of driving independents into mild republicans.
10 days of TV proving who the mafia media really are.
10 days of democrats feeling like losers.
10 days of that loser image, that PROPHECY, driven into their demoncrap souls.

Oh yes, I hope that they choose this road. Not a chance though. Too many smart people will wake up this morning ... mostly business democraps on wall street ... and tell the party hacks 'enough'.

So, I don't think its going to happen. I think the swollen ankles around here at FR are going to be feeling relief real soon by 5pm.

"WTH is going on?! I go to bed at 1 AM EDT thinking 43 had won, and freaking John Kerry hasn't conceded?"

Midnight for me and up at 5:00 and I'm just now catching up via FR.

My sympathies for those FReepers who have been up all night. John Kerry and the Democrats have robbed you of a few hours sleep.

Yes.

The correct Kerry/RAT strategy was "Great guy, George Bush. Trying his best. We like him, too. But not up to the job. We can and will do better."

But, unfortunately for RAT-dom, THEY WERE TOO F*CKING STUPID.

Buh-bye, 'Effin.

So when are they gonna call Iowa and New Mexico for the President? Has everyone realized that that would force them to put 281 on his EV column?

BALLAD OF DAN RATHER

(Think "Beverly Hillbillies" theme song)

Come and listen to my story 'bout a man named Dan,
The documents were fake and he didn't give a dam*;
He put 'em on the air, an' he thought he'd done the job,
But up from the web come a howlin' mob.

Blogs, that is.
Web logs.
Checkin' facts.

Well, the first thing you know ol' Dan's a-runnin' fast;
Made a false report an' it bit him in the a$$;
He said 'dog-gonnit, I done thought I'd get away!'
But it turned out to be his a-reckonin' day.

Busted, that is.
Red-faced.
Mud in the eye.

Well, now it's time to say goodbye to Dan and all his men;
And they would like to shoot you folks for turnin' them in;
You're all invited back next week to watch the Evening News,
And see which correspondent's picked to fill Dan's empty shoes.

Y'all come back, now, hear?

Media Research Center:
Dan Rather on Bill Clinton:
"I think he’s an honest man."

   O’Reilly: "I want to ask you flat out, do you think President Clinton’s an honest man?"
    Rather: "Yes, I think he’s an honest man."
    O’Reilly: "Do you, really?"
    Rather: "I do."
    O’Reilly: "Even though he lied to Jim Lehrer’s face about the Lewinsky case?"
    Rather: "Who among us has not lied about something?"
    O’Reilly: "Well, I didn’t lie to anybody’s face on national television. I don’t think you have, have you?"
    Rather: "I don’t think I ever have. I hope I never have. But, look, it’s one thing-"
    O’Reilly, jumping in: "How can you say he’s an honest guy then?"
    Rather: "Well, because I think he is. I think at core he’s an honest person. I know that you have a different view. I know that you consider it sort of astonishing anybody would say so, but I think you can be an honest person and lie about any number of things."
    O’Reilly: "Really?!?"
    Rather: "Yeah, I do."
    O’Reilly: "See, I can’t. I want my government to be honest across-the-board. I don’t want people lying."

With these provisional ballots, I'm wondering about one thing.

Why in the blue hell didin't they send these clods to the proper precinct?

Perhaps Mr.Bush is now completely aware of the great things that need to be accomplished in the not-too-distant future. With awesome power comes awesome responsibilities. We are all just humans at teh end of the day, sent here to fulfill God's mission. We are botht the puppets and puppettereers of the universe. Time for reflection is a good thing for anyone no mater what their place in life.

And I understand the polling folks in NM have gone home?! Who the heck is watching the ballots? Why not just count the darn things and be done with it?

It ain't over until Susan Estrich and Liz Edwards sing.

I have heard the chatter already putting a post-election spin about how "hard" all the Kerry volunteers (the "young people") worked and how Kerry "owes" it to them and all the people who waited in poll lines not to concede yet (even though it looks like a Bush victory).

Boo hoo...

Probably. I figure unless everyone in their ranks has completely lost their minds, they'll be calling it for Dubya today. Reason? A lot of people were asleep and missed this garbage. Talk radio will delight in slamming them all, about that time they'll be preparing to concede before they lose what remaining naive people they have left.

But, who knows. They are so insane they could keep this going. Won't impact Dubya's votes, but in their own little bubble they can believe they are important.

Keep thinking that ... your dead on the right track.
