Report from Standing Rock At the McLaughlin Community Center on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation, a Daschle operative (a male lawyer in his 50s) has taken over part of the election table and is interfering with the election workers' duties in violation of SDCL 12-18-3, 9.1 (9.2 gives authority to have the person removed and arrested). The election worker feels intimidated by the Daschle operative and feels that the man is interfering with the process. When told this was illegal, he responded "F--k you, do something about it." These sorts of reports are coming in regularly. It's a nice summary of the Daschle campaign's attitude toward the election process.

If that's the case, Drudge is being EXTREMELY irresponsible.

>>>>Drudge declaring Thune the winner in SD Hold on a minute. Drudge is doing no such thing. He's reporting really early exit poll numbers. Sheesh. "Senate winners: Thune SD" That says win! Not exit polling ...

Now, this would be a monster upset. Like getting old Tom Foley back a few years ago!!! First Speaker of the House, now their Senate leader. Sweet.

Note this earlier post about the Daschle lawyer on Standing Rock who was disrupting the voting process and told others who raised questions "F--k you, do something about it." They did. He now has been forcibly removed from the polling place by the deputy sheriff. NOTE TO THE PRESS: ARE YOU CAPABLE OF REPORTING ANY OF THIS AND LEAVING YOUR COMFY NEWSROOMS? These reports are coming in from all over the state. What does the dean of political reporters at the Argus Leader say about all this? 'Nothing's happening.' If they really want to be taken seriously, they should report these things.

It's still based on exit polling - not reality.

Send him back home, out of DC, and tell him to put his egg crate inside his soap box before he leaves.

Of course it is, my point is that Drudge is saying Thune is a winner, I dont condone it, but it says what it says

No surprises here...little Tommy is feeling the heat!Even if he can reanimate enough dead Indians to steal the election, Daschle's reign is finished. He'll be such damaged goods that he can't possibly keep his Minority Leader status. At the worst for us, he'll be a noisy back bencher, taken seriously by no one.

Trying to make conservatives happy after ticking them off with his irresponsible exit poll date. But I hope it's true.
