Maybe Kerry shouldn't count on young voters.
Our star intern is now forwarding the FR post to all her friends...they're calling now. The network is working
Maybe we'll add some new young FReepers?

Nice observation....very true....voted for Reagan in my first election at age 19 in 1984....young conservative then and slightly older conservative now.
In ten years when my two sons can vote....I am sure that they will continue the tradition.
Our 22-year old daughter will graduate from UNI this spring - business major from the mother-of-all business schools. Anyway, she is VERY busy with classes and her business club, so I took care of making sure she signed and returned her absentee ballot request - and also called to remind her to mail it in.
According to her, most of her friends are voting for Bush, even she is surprised cuz she expected college kids to be WAY more Demonrat. She said the ones who are not pro-Bush don't really care about voting, and doesn't expect they will make the effort.
bandwidth...lots of FReepers and it will get slower as the night goes on.
I wish I worked with people like that. I have idiots around me that have no idea what is going on in the world but they are voting for Kerry, why because they saw F9/11 and Michael Moore said so. Then there are the abortion whores who go around defending the killing of babies. Next comes the left over hippie from the 60's "we have no friends left" "it is worse then when I was in college". HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!
You reach more of us than you think ;)
LOL, You are known as a "Hover Parent" always there to add a little tweaking every now and then. I'm the same way...your story sounds just like mine.
Keep up the good work. You lead by example. Perhaps you'll have an impact on them.
9/11 should have had an impact.
Good for you! When I was in college, I was managing editor of the anti-establishment student newspaper.
I'm glad I grew up.
My younger daughter came home last night from the University of Michigan in order to vote first thing this morning. She said that her German class had "voted" and Bush got 10 out of 24 votes. She was pleasantly surprised. My older daughter is arriving soon from Ann Arbor to vote. Her away message on IM is: The only way to stop me from voting for Bush is to kill me sometime between now and 1:30. Good luck, I can be sneaky.
They could care less about 9/11 as long as it did not happen in Hazleton PA.
Star Intern here (22 yrs old). After e-mailing this link to my friends, I just received the following message back from my best friend:
"Good site Suz! Tell your boss at my bank everyone I talk to is voting
for Bush. In my group I would say there is like a 20 to
2 ratio w/ Bush to Kerry; all our age."
That should give you some hope!
Nobody likes to be treated like they're stupid, no matter what their age.
