Maybe Kerry shouldn't count on young voters.
"Who did you vote for," I asked. To my surprise, she said:
"Bush...almost all my friends are voting for Bush."
She explained all of her friends and sorority sisters, including some who had graduated, had voted for Bush. In fact, they're all Instant Messaging each other today, discussing the election. Even a friend who is now a producer at ABC News is voting for Bush...this friend has been the source of much of the information for them to make a decision...VIA THE INTERNET.
I asked her why. She said the consenus was "He is a man of character and he'll defend our country."
I had not expected this at alll. My heart is warmed. If only I had been so smart when I was 22.
By God's good graces, my this student have 5 million friends.
a lot of college folks have brothers, sisters, parents in the military and fear a Kerry CIC.
AMEN
I firmly believe that will all the hate and stuff that leftist have been doing to, saying to, yelling at, to people who are voting for President Bush, that many Bush votes have just kept their mouths shut. My wife worked with a bunch of lefties and they were always asking everyone who they were voting for. My wife would just say "I am still thinking about it" which would draw their hate; or she would just say, probably Kerry. Just to shut them up. She was alone with about 25 lefties in her area of the bank. Thankfully, she left the bank last Friday after 31.5 years and does not have to put up with the BS any more.
By the way....ALL these kids use CELL PHONES instead of land line...Terry McAwful may be sorry.
bless my heart!! loved this good news .. I hope it's contagious accross the country.
They also communicate in mass via the web more than other generations. Potentially, they reach more.
20 year old here. 3 out of 4 of the people in my appartment on campus are voting for Bush. (well, one's voting for Cheney... but accepts Bush)
The other wont get back to his hometown to vote. He doesn't care.

After speaking to several college students in different counties in FL, they are voting for Bush as well (some absentee). Its not all bad news!
Why did the first post not show up after several refreshes? grrrrrrrrr
And, all five of my daughter's dorm suite-mates in Santa Barbara voted for Bush!
They may not be getting all their news from the MSM...we're on to something here.
Awesome, I truly believe that Bush is creating a new crop of Young Conservatives. Just like Reagan did in the 80s.....
The Conservative Movement is alive and well, and we're more informed than ever thanks to the internet.
CNBC was on scene (missed locale) and the reporter said there was no indication of a "youth voter" swell.
23 y/o w/ a 23 y/o fiance, know a lot of young Republicans. Big Bush supporters here.
She said to me, "Those democrats are always looking for a handout, aren't they?"
If there's anything I know about college students, it's that they like to be anti-establishment. And the establishment is more liberal than ever. We're about to see a huge pradigm shift in students political views. It will take place and be reversed from today in about 10 years.
