We knew this was going to a test and a long night!!!
A tremendous battle appears to be ending in victory. Gratefully, we approach Your hallowed throne to place this victory at Your feet. We exalt You, O Lord, for You have won this for us. It is Yours. You wanted this victory for us even more than we did, and yet You rely on Your people to pray and to bring from heaven the wonderful blessings You have prepared for us. O God, how can we thank You? Help us to live lives of obedience; help us to continue constant in prayer; help us to commit to You the souls of those who do not believe, and share Your powerful love with the lost and the hurting. Help us to be gracious in victory. Help us to be ready and willing to proclaim our love and our faith in You, our Great and Awesome God. Let us never forget what You have done this day. Preserve this victory, O Lord, and grant us Your rest now as we pray in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Lord we thank You tonight Lord for what appears to be a victory for good over evil. We thank You for what appears to be a merciful act on Your behalf to withhold judgment on this nation and give us another opportunity to turn to You. Lord, there are some good signs. The marriage amendments in several states appear to be passing by sizable majorities. And, our beloved President, will in all likelihood have 4 more years in the post of commander in chief.
Father, We ask that You would use this victory to Your glory and our good. We ask that You would stave off the opposition in their legal manuevers to try to steal what is rightfully ours. We ask Lord that You would allow no weapon the enemy forms against us to prosper.
Lord, You are so good. You would have even been good if the results had gone the other way - however, we are especially thankful and grateful to You for Your blessings upon us this night.
Now, as several of us try to sleep tonight, give us good night's rests after this turbulent battle. And hold on to the victory we have. We praise You Lord and magnify Your holy name. For it is in the magnificent name of Christ Jesus, King of kings and Lord of lords, that I pray - AMEN!
Agreeing with you in prayer that the victory will be preserved and protected by our Almighty God, in the Name of Jesus Christ. To God be the glory!!!
