TAMPA, FL Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf today issued the following statement:
"The Democratic National Committee is making fraudulent phone calls claiming that I have endorsed Senator Kerry. Nothing could be further from the truth, and I demand that they stop immediately.
"Senator Kerry opposed the Reagan defense build-up that won the Cold War. Senator Kerry opposed the removal of Saddam Hussein from Kuwait. Senator Kerry proposed billions in intelligence cuts after the first attack on the World Trade Center. Senator Kerry voted against funds to equip our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan with supplies like body armor and ammunition.
"I am supporting President Bush for reelection, because he is the candidate who has demonstrated the conviction needed to defeat terrorism. In contrast to the President's steadfast determination to defeat our enemies, Senator Kerry has a record of weakness that gives me no confidence in his ability to fight and win the War on Terror. His attempt to make up for these deficiencies by falsifying my endorsement only confirms my impression that he is not the man we need to lead our nation."
They can go lower. Read my post 35 above.
I see that this was on Drudge, but who is hearing the message? Is it a recorded message in NJ or some other swing state?
Preach it Stormin Norman!
Agree
Yes, my hubby saw him a couple weeks ago at a Leadership Conference and The GENERAL said.. our Military wants to keep President Bush and so does he.
BTTT...
The great part about this is the phone messages saying Norman supports Kerry are being sent in New Jersey!!
Panic by the Kerry people???
HANNITY talking about this on his radio show NOW
General Schwartzkopf's endorsement carries a special meaning for the middle east. His dad was heavily involved in the coup that installed the Shah in 1953. Iranians would know the name well.
shhhhhhhhhhhhh
Wouldn't want a critical word of kamp Kerry to get out. The MSM is probably still pouring over GWB National Guard records for any "dirt" they are convinced must be in there somewhere.
The Republican Party should pull their tv ads now and replace them with Norman!!
Bump
Why?
Hannity reporting it is just as good.
And to all the handwringers asking about who will "get this" to the MSM...if it's on Drudge, they've got it. They'll still ignore it.
Wasn't that Telequest in Richardson Texas? Any way to snoop around there tomorrow?
It was, and I don't know. I *think* they actually went out of business shortly thereafter, but I could be wrong. I did a google search on Telequest, Richardson, Tx and got about 10 or 12 results, mostly entries on resumes.
Damn! I felt somrthing was wrong. On Saturday I received a recorder message from some retired general, who said that he was w/Norman Schwarzcopf during the first Gulf war.
Then the message went up 'Voted for Bush in 2000, will vote for JF--gK, took an eye of the ball etc.' I hung up after the 'eye of the ball' lie. It sounded as if Norman was endorsing Kerry too.
Slimesters!!!
Off the topic. I got 2 calls from the democrats over the weekend.
1. Their internal polling must be showing them something that they are running scared in NJ!
2. If they think that NJ may be close, Bush must be really winning big in many of the battlegruond states.
Let's just get out tomorrow and vote! Make sure that everybody who can vote for Bush votes!
Please stop calling them the MSM (Main Stream Media). They are only mainstream because you (and others) keep calling them that. I call them the Corrupt Liberal Media (CLM) or simply the Old Media.
Is "Media Wing of the Democratic Party" ok?
:o)
