For all you worry warts out there, I have some very good news from a very, very high ranking GOP insider.
In an email just sent to me, the insider writes the following:
President wins tomorrow and we end up up 3 [in the House]. Senate up 1.

Well, not as high as I'd like in the House and Senate, but I'll take it!

I assume the gain in the Senate is going to come from here in the great state of Georgia. Zell Miller is retiring and is going to be replaced by republican Johnny Isakson. I guess that means Daschle is going to pull it out in SD?

If you have "inside information" you should source it...or aren't those of us posting here deserving of that consideration? This post allays no worries, legitimately addresses no concerns and is frustrating to people who are looking for some verifiable information.
I think the House and Senate will be higher than that.
Only 3 in the House after Texas redistrciting and a mere 1 in the Senate with 5 seats open in the South? What is GWB going to win but have negative coat tails????
