TERRI'S FREEPERS November 1, 2004
Why did the judge order the feeding tube continued? Was he just trying to delay her death until after the election?
If so, seems like it makes a mockery of the court system... Not that it wasn't a mockery already.
Thanks for the update, fv. Praying much today for Terri, and for our country. Both Terri and The USA are fighting evil forces.!!
Please ping your lists and hopefully, if this thread remains in extended news, we can get some newbies to help us out. Ya think?
Child of God...
We pray those judicial sinners...
Do not cause the hour of thy death...
Amen !!!

I've been praying that the Lord will make a way, where
there seems to be no way for Terri.
Now I'll change it to make a way for Michael and "judge" Greer to be brought swiftly to justice for their crimes
against Terri!

Comments Prompt Speculation Terri Schiavo's Husband May Give Up
Clearwater, FL (LifeNews.com) -- They say good things come to those who wait. The dogged determination the parents of Terri Schiavo have displayed in the decade-long battle to prevent their daughter form being starved to death by her estranged husband may finally pay off. George Felos, the euthanasia advocate who is the lead attorney for Terri's estranged husband Michael Schiavo's, commented on Friday in reaction to a decision to indefinitely postpone Michael's ability to remove Terri's feeding tube. His remarks reveal a resignation that delights Terri's family. "I think we are coming very close, if we are not here already, where proceeding in the judicial system is futile,'' Felos told the Tampa Tribune newspaper. "It would appear that pursuing any remedy through the judicial system is simply a waste of time,'' Felos added. "It is hard to see where there is any benefit in staying the course in this case.'' Felos also told the Tribune that it might be time to advise his client to stop his efforts to end Terri's life. Bob and Mary Schindler were pleasantly surprised Friday's ruling and Felos' comments. "Eventually they are going to get the point that maybe what they are trying to do is just wrong,'' Bob Schindler told the Florida newspaper. Pamela Hennessy, a long time media representative of the Schindler family, called the development a possible "light at the end of the tunnel."
Bump & Ping
Today, the Terri Schindler-Schiavo Foundation has learned that Michael Schiavo, through his attorney, George Felos has filed a motion to vacate stay with the 2nd District Court of Appeals in response to the Sixth Circuit's issuance of a stay pending exhaustion of appeals of the Memorandum of Law.
This comes in the same day in which the St. Petersburg Times reported that Mr. Schiavo would possibly not engage in the appeal process.

Legal representatives for the parents of Terri Schindler-Schiavo have filed two briefs to the 2nd District Court of Appeals in Lakeland, Florida November 15, 2004. The following files are in Acrobat Reader format:
The first is an Opposition to the Motion to Vacate Stay(1). On November 4, 2004, Michael Schiavo filed a Motion to Vacate a Stay (2) issued by the Circuit Court. The Circuit Court's stay (3) would prevent Terri Schiavo's assisted nutrition and hydration from being removed until her parents had exhausted appropriate appeals on the court's denial of their Memorandum of Law (4).
In their Opposition to the Motion to Vacate Stay, the Schindlers argue:
"Appellee has wholly failed to demonstrate that the trial court abused its discretion when it stayed the Order to withhold food and water from Theresa Schiavo pending the appeal of the dismissal of appellants? motion for relief from judgment. It is not enough for appellee to simply disagree with the trial court?s stay, he must demonstrate that the trial court made a decision that no reasonable person would make."
The second brief is a Request for Oral Arguments (5) to the 2nd District Court of Appeals. In their motion, the Schindler's state:
"In view of the extraordinarily final nature of appellee?s motion to vacate the trial court?s stay in this matter, and in view of the extraordinary national attention being given to this entire case, appellants respectfully request that this Court grant oral argument on appellee?s Motion to Vacate Stay and Request for Expedited Consideration of Motion to Vacate Stay."

Prayers for Terri.
