NBC Flushes the Johns

By an odd coincedence the NBC series "West Wing" has killed off 2 Johns. John Amos (who played the Admiral) and John Spencer (who played Leo McGarry) are both now gone from last years crew. Just a thought.

In the last episode he was having a heart attack at Camp David. Looks like Jimmy Smits (NYPD Blue) is going to replace him.

From what I understand, Leo's not dead, but the heart attack was "debilitating". Bartlett picks CJ to replace him, which causes resentment among the other staffers (i.e. Josh).

All: I don't know for sure, but all the signs indicate Leo is being offed. Agree with most of you he is one of the best cast members. Wish Josh had been offed.
The idea mentioned of a pub president is interesting, I've heard it postulated. Alan Alda as a pub? Yech.
If I were a betting man, I'd say the plot will follow the election. If W wins, they will put in a pub president who is a dope, if Kerry wins, we will have an heroic Bartlett come back.
