14 percent of likely voters now say they've already cast their ballots, and that could be an understatement since it's a volunteered rather than a prompted response. Their preferences have narrowed to 50-47 percent between Bush and Kerry, very near the contest overall. Early voters are older than others twice as likely to be retirement age and most prevalent in the West.

Could I BE more excited for Tuesday? My body is humming.
bttt
I agree. I can't take this anymore and I never wanted a weekend to end so quickly in my life. I wish we could skip over Monday.
But, Terry McAwful says the opposite is true. Who to believe?
I frankly, do not believe these large media sponsored polls.
Mason-Dixon is the only outfit that has a reliable track record in state polling data.
Just bank on anything from them.
Not a bad result considering the bulk of the sample is among the elders and the Western states. sKerry's social security scare isn't working as well as he hoped.
Republicans are known to be early voters, more then Democrats. Thought this figure would be a lot higher. Hmmm.
This is totally meaningless. Small sample, voluntary response.
Is 11:00am too early to start drinking?
I'm not working today, after all.
Would you buy a used car from Mac Awful?
It would be nice to see the early vote break down in the swing states.
What do you expect the rat McAllfluff to say? I think the thing to be certain of is that we are talking very small margins of voters and we have likely voting going on in some pretty big Bush strongholds. If we saw Bush ahead in early Voting in Florida and Ohio overall that would be a big surprise. I think Bush is going to win by 5 or greater.
Did you see their battleground polls, which they released last night?
Not me. I am chewing my fingernails. Probably won't even watch the returns, just follow them on FR.
Kerry is going to win, take this money to the bank!!! ROFLMWAO LOL!

DITTO!!! The MOST important thing for ALL of us to remember and tell all your friends and family is NOT to listen to any media polls that give Bush a lead. I don't trust the media...........this could be their plan to keep GOP voters away. They will try and convince supporters of Bush that they don't need to bother standing in long lines to vote, he's ahead anyway.
DON'T FORGET WHAT HAPPENED IN 2000 WHEN THE MEDIA CALLED FLORIDA FOR GORE EVEN BEFORE THE PANHANDLE CLOSED POLLS AND MANY VOTERS DIDN'T VOTE BECAUSE THEY BELIEVED THE MEDIA AND FIGURED IT WASN'T WORTH IT.
THE MEDIA IS NOT OUR FRIEND.
I'm not working today, after all.
On days one does not have to work...replace coffee with Bloody Mary. If the weather is pleasant, change to beer at noon. If the weather is miserable, switch to vodka martini.
Turn your cell phone off pager!
