Most political pundits thus far have missed the point of Osama bin Ladin's "endorsement" of Senator John Kerry in a videotape this Friday.
Bin Ladin was not addressing the American public, but rather the remnant of al Quaeda scattered throughout the Arab world. After his stunning success in disrupting the Spanish elections and energizing his remaining supporters, bin Ladin is desperate to strike at the United States.
Unable to launch a Madrid-style attack to disrupt and influence American elections, bin Ladin is forced to settle for a pre-election bashing of President Bush in the language of Michael Moore and his Hollywood friends and then hope that Kerry wins. By threatening American voters with terrorist attacks if Bush is re-elected, his terrorist audience will be impressed by bin Ladin's boldness in taking on Bush.
If Kerry does win the election, bin Ladin will be able to claim a victory, arguing that he was successful in intimidating American voters who fear terrorism. In doing so, he will be able to convince his terrorist allies that he is still a powerful force in the world.

The first thing that "hit" me was that it may have been a "secret code" to our enemies to carry out additional attacks depending on the outcome of the election. Or maybe affect the election itself
What happens in close swing states if incidents happen in heavily-Republican districts, on the morning of election day, in order to scare Republicans away from the polls

Let me ask ab obvious question. You can file this under "Beating a Dead Horse."
Kerry says he is going to crush the terrorists. What if the French or Germans do not agree with his particular plan to crush the terrorists.
P.S. The French are currently giving a terrorists free health care, much in the same way Hussein took care of Zarqawi.

Well at least now, if Kerry wins and Osama still attacks, we can have Edwards sue OBL for breach of contract.

Again, could be but I think that that would seriously backfire. Most Americans do not take ultimatums very well at all. I would guarantee that I would make a tremendous effort to get myself and any other voter to the polls should that happen near me.

Hmmm, I though bin-brain was high on Mr. Kerry's military "to do" list. Could it be that bin ladin somehow suspects some weakness behind all of Kerry's "go-gettum" military puffery, and that he can count on another Kerry "flip-flop"?

Bin Laden's tape is an attempt to get American's focus off of Zarqawi and back on him. Bin Laden knows that if US gets Zarqawi it will lead them to the location of where he is. Apparently Bin Laden and Zarqawi's communications have been cut off so Bin Laden felt a need to get a message to him. The interesting part of this is the tape was delivered in Pakistan instead of the usual Qatar at the Al Jazeera headquarters. This is definitely a sign he is isolated in Pakistan with limited communications transport means and he knows his and Zarqawi's days are numbered.

If that happens Kerry will be lucky to get, at most, the rabid 34% vote.

I told him I wanted to make sure that I had voted for GB and that the circle was dark and completely filled in, so no one would have any doubts.I know what you mean. In 2000, I triple-checked my ballot before turning it in.

If the Devil himself came up from the flames, kERRY would welcome his endorsement.I'm pretty sure that is one endorsement Kerry has had since college.

in the language of Michael Moore and his Hollywood friendsYou just have to wonder if they get it now. What more was needed beyond OBL himself quoting Michael Moore and company. Both hate this country and everything it stands for.
Kerry-supporters, get a clue! You are with the terrorist party.

Kerry won't drop bombs. He's an appeaser and will duck tail and run then blame Bush by claiming it was so out of control.

Apparently bin Laden didn't pay much attention to that letter writing fiasco sponsored by the 'Guardian'.

But only after getting permission from the UN. And Mrs. Heinz.
