Watching CNN and MSNBC the commentators look depressed when talking about this Bib Laden tape. Chris Mathews looks like he wants to hide under the table when they say how this is bad for Kerry

Things look bad at CNN and msnbc period, even without the Osama videotape.
Even when flicking past CNN with the clicker, I can't watch for more than 30 seconds because all they do is air stories that attempt to make President Bush look bad.
If it wasn't so crass and dishonest, it would almost be funny. I can just envision a bunch of high level editors sitting around and saying, "Now what stories do we have today and how can we air them to make the Administration look like incompetent boobs?"
I work in a newsroom and I know from experience that most honest editors usually at least try and present the other side, sometimes more forcefully than the initial story.
CNN people are such hacks it's hard to see how they can live with themselves.
