Things Look Bad at MSNBC and CNN

Posted on 10/29/2004 4:27:09 PM PDT by wolfeast1

Watching CNN and MSNBC the commentators look depressed when talking about this Bib Laden tape. Chris Mathews looks like he wants to hide under the table when they say how this is bad for Kerry

You are as cynical as I. Why indeed did they air it? Don't they usually sweep as much real news under the rug as possible, or at least pass it through the Birkenstock filter before airing it?

Here is another fatwah from UBL in 1998 stating that to kill Americans is the individual duty of every Muslim. UBL does more than just offer philosophical bon mots.

Yeah, he had the red ass over troops in Saudi Arabia, the home of the Holy shrines and that was motivation #1.

Of course, as a result of the liberation of Iraq and the eliminations of Saddam and the no fly zones, we no longer have troops there and did not want them there in the first place.

With these nut case Arabs, it is necessary to formulate a major grievance against those who have somehow screwed with Mohammed's palaces or whatever.

It seems these major grievances are needed to build the hatred up to the level where individuals no longer fear death and will do as commanded.

Rabble rousing 101 is what I call it.

The real reasons are in the mind of the leader who is most certainly inspired by hatred and a lust for Christian blood.

I think that about covers my assessment.

Oh,......I was making a referencer to his tapes of about three years ago.

Yes, he lists justifications for what is to come.

That is why they are important.

But he, like Kerry, says very little in a thousand words.

Some might find them threatening, I find then to be signs of mental disorder. And philosophical justification for his own hatred.

If all his grievances now were gone, he would only invent more for self gratification.

We can psychoanalyze him until the cows come home, but that should be done after we kill him.

Some might find them threatening, I find then to be signs of mental disorder. And philosophical justification for his own hatred.

I find what he says as threatening, especially after seeing what actions he and AQ have taken around the world. They are not only manifestations of a mental disorder, they are the musings of a murderer. His followers are willing to fly planes into buildings and commit murder using bombs strapped to their bodies and in their cars. I take what UBL says very seriously.

Laura Ingrahm was playing this clip today of Chris Matthews getting so excited over Bill Clinton that you would think he got a little 'anxious' over him! Sheesh!

Well, It is so, so obvious that he has to die.

But I will not get bent out of shape over his musings.

He, and every one who follows him will die.

There is no question about the end result.

I am puzzled why you are pressing this point. His justification is philosophical and seriously flawed. And it will be his demise and perhaps the demise of his religion (as we know it) as well.

Do you mean this Osama tape may actually BENEFIT Kerry? (You may be right, I really have no idea.)

Among the appeasers, yes. There was a "better red than dead" segment in our society, remember. They're still around.

But they're already voting for Kerry, anyway. So, it won't really gain him any votes...

With these nut case Arabs, it is necessary to formulate a major grievance against those who have somehow screwed with Mohammed's palaces or whatever.

These are not nut cases, but rather, true believers who still have a 9th Century view of the world. I lived for five years in Saudi Arabia, which has two of the three holiest sites in Islam. The ruler of Saudi Arabia has the title "Custodian of Two Holy Places (or Mosques)." Millions of pilgrims come there every year on the Haj. It is the goal of every Moslem go there once in his/her life. Non-Muslims are not permitted to go into Mecca or Medina for any reason. In Saudia Arabia, the practice of other religions is not allowed nor are the symbols like crosses allowed to be worn. You cannot have statues portraying the human form, which is why the Taliban defaced the two ancient massive Buddha statues bordering the central province of Bamiyan. They were constructed during the second and third centuries

UBL has tapped into the religious fervor of Muslims. This is the reason he is so dangerous. There are well over a billion muslims in the world and it is the fastest growing religion.

I agree with Bernard Lewis that we are dealing with a clash between Islam and Modernity. Having lived a total of nine years in three Islamic countries--Iran, Indonesia, and Saudi Arabia--and visited many more, I view Islam as more of a cult than a religion. To be a believer means investing a great deal of yourself in Islam, including praying five times a day, fasting during the day for a month every year, etc. Shari'a Law governs the Islamic state. Reform is going to be very difficult and dangerous. Pakistan has the bomb and Iran is working to get one.

When I heard Chrissy ask that question "what could we have done in Ohio with that $87 billion?" I thought finally he's asked the dumbest question I've ever heard. Wonder what he's thinking now.

I certainly share your concerns.

I also understand the religious motivations, but they are indeed nut cases.

The whole lot, or very nearly so.

The problem as I see with the religion is that it was damaged severely by a insane man named Mohamed.

Since then, the Imams have taught insanity. A pretty simple conclusion, but based on facts.

In the end it may well be necessary to destroy millions of people to get them to reform.

I am not optimistic, and I fully expect to be fighting them for generations, or until they are finished.

That is what I believe and that is the only answer to the problem. I made reference to the crusades, because that was the conclusion reached then as well. No, they were not successful, unfortunately for us. Reform, or die.

I do not want it to be so, but unless and until reformers take over the religion and their sectarian violence dissipates, the future is pretty easy to read. It don't need tea leaves.
