My Dad died on Saturday and his effort to vote before he died is going to be on.

My condolences.
Could you please remove Drango's comment on post 12? Texasflower's dad just died and Drango has posted something which she doesn't want on the thread as it is going to be printed to give to her mother!
Thanks!
Texasflower, thanks for posting this and sharing your grief and your pride in your dad's patriotism with us. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. This is an awesome story of patriotism and good citizenship! God bless!
Please tell your Mother we are thinking of her too.
This has to be the finest post I've seen on FR in a long time.
I emailed the link to all my friends. My 84-year old father, a D-Day vet, responded that he was deeply touched.

Sorry for your loss. Thanks for sharing this sad but inspirational story.
Loss of a good man who went down fighting ping.
Thank you for sharing this texasflower. Your Dad spoke volumes in his determination to vote for his last time. Many people take voting for granted. He was truly a hero and such a great example for others.
I remember those pictures of your dad voting, texasflower. God bless him.
Oh, texasflower, I am so sorry to hear of your great loss! My condolences to you, your mom, and the rest of your family. Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful dad and his story with us here . . . and may you be blessed with peace and comfort in the hard days ahead.
Thanks Barker. I'll ping the list. I didn't know the video would be on the website.
Do you know how to save it to my hard drive?
Don't know how to save it. Maybe some computer geeks here can tell you or if you contact the station they may give you a copy.
Prayers.
I saw a story about your father last night on CNN News. God bless you and your family.
Thanks GOP-Lady. None of us has seen it yet on CNN, it appears they have been playing it for a couple days now.
I'm proud of my Dad!
Oh texasflower .. I just saw your post over on the Dose about the sad news of your fathers passing
