He lives and breathes, but man does he look like shit. Jeeeeez.

As for who this "helps." I think it serves to remind America that Bin Laden and the boys are still out there and still dangerous. From that perspective, it helps Bush immensely. But, Kerry can say, "see, Bush failed to get Bin Laden." We will see how this goes down with the electorate in short order.

he's not dead, he's mentioning Kerry and quoting Michael Moore movie lines. He was never dead, he's in Pakistan.

Three strangers strike up a conversation in the airport passenger lounge in Tucson, AZ, awaiting their flights. One is an American Indian passing through from Cochise County. The second is a cowboy on his way to Casper for a livestock show. The third passenger is fundamentalist Arab student newly arrived at Arizona University from the Middle East.

Their discussion drifts to their diverse cultures. Soon, the two Westerners learn that the Arab is a devout, radical Muslim and the conversation falls into an uneasy lull.

The cowboy leans back in his chair, crosses his boots on a magazine table and tips his big sweat-stained hat forward over his face.

The wind outside is blowing tumbleweeds around, and the old windsock is flapping, but still no plane comes.

Finally, the American Indian clears his throat and softly he speaks, "At one time here, my people were many, but sadly, now we are few."

The Muslim student raises an eyebrow and leans forward, "Once my people were few," he sneers, "and now we are many. Why do you suppose that is?"

The cowboy shifts his toothpick to one side of his mouth and from the darkness beneath his Stetson says in a drawl, "That's 'cause we ain't played Cowboys and Muslims yet, but I do believe it's a-comin'."

Memo to undecided voters: This is not the time to break in a new boy like Kerry/Edwards. Getting them up to speed will be fatal to us.

John Edwards is not a wartime consigliere.

People on this thread also said he mentioned Kerry - and lots of stuff from F-911 (moore), but I can't find the transcript, and don't know where that was said. I haven't heard it on FNC and didn't hear it mentioned on MSNBC when Whalid Phares was on... the transcript thread on FR from CNN doesn't appear to be recent.

Bodansky has had this nailed all along. He is living in Pakistan as part of a regular family, he doesn't have any kind of security detail around him because that would draw attention from our surveillance. He's just puttering around the house of some family, like an old uncle. we do not know his exact location, so we can't take him out.

Has anyone got a transcript of the OBL tape?
All I see on TV are talking heads!

You said it! He's not much of anything except an ambulance chaser. BTW His wife admits that she reads DU. Tells you something, doesn't it?

I'll say it now - this is a nightmare for Kerry.

The key issue in this election is "who will keep me safe". Kerry got traction in the race only when people forgot about 9/11 - that's precisely why he never mentions it in his stump speech, and the President always does.

How do you think New Jersey voters feel seeing OBL on TV? Pissed, I'd guess. The'll want a President who is ready to kill some terrorists, not one who offers a global test.

It isn't that Kerry will be better at going after bin Laden; it's that Kerry will work hard to make bin Laden happy.

How can our folks be sure that it is Bin Laden's voice tacked onto an old tape of his? Have they synchronized his lips w/Arabic?

Could have been -

I do hope Israel is on watch for anything - considering what was mentioned about them. (And the Arab leader leaving)

I just don't get the major media and all the other people who stick up for Kerry and his bunch - How can any of them be so sure their area is not a target - or that someone they know won't be killed by an attack from the terrorist - If you ask me - they play with fire when they make this a political issue - Do they really want America to become like Spain - under control of the Terrorist - scared to make a move that might upset them(terrorist)- ?

Perhaps we should be on the look out for people suddenly leaving an area - like pre-warned or something - that is the only way I can see they would think they would be totally safe from an attack -

And if the tape is real - would this be a good time to close the borders - if for no other reason - to make sure any terrorist trying to leave - couldn't -

just my thoughts - be interesting to see what happens to the threat level in the next few days -

Wow, this is an outright attempt by OBL to influence the election in favor of Kerry! He underestimates the will of the American people and this is going to backfire BIG TIME and enable Bush to win in a LANDSLIDE!!

"The key issue in this election is "who will keep me safe".

If I could just rephrase that a bit, I think the issue for any president is who will defend this country. Kerry has never really done that. He never wanted to be in a fire zone in Nam and when he found himself in one, he got out as fast as possible. As for GW, I know that he will defend this country whether to do so is popular or not and without regard to his "political life."
