Before the press conference, Rush had just started to say, for the troops and civilians overseas who had not received their ballots, they can vote online and he was going to give instructions but this press conference started.

Rush heard wrong. Kerry still has it up on his web-site. These are going to haunt him.

It reads:
Washington, DC - Kerry-Edwards Senior Advisor Joe Lockhart issued the following statement on reports of missing explosives in Iraq:

“Today, the Bush administration must answer for what may be the most grave and catastrophic mistake in a tragic series of blunders in Iraq. How did they fail to secure nearly 380 tons of known, deadly explosives despite clear warnings from the International Atomic Energy Agency to do so? And why was this information unearthed by reporters -- and was it covered up by our national security officials?

“These explosives can be used to blow up airplanes, level buildings, attack our weapons. The Bush administration knew where this stockpile was, but took no action to secure the site.
They were urgently and specifically informed that terrorists could be helping themselves to the most
dangerous explosives bonanza in history, but nothing was done to prevent it from happening.

“This material was monitored and controlled by UN inspectors before the invasion of Iraq. Thanks to the
stunning incompetence of the Bush administration, we now have no idea where it is.

“We need to know what the administration knew about this and when. We need to know why they failed to
safeguard these explosives and keep them out of the hands of our enemies. The National Security Advisor
should be at her desk in Washington tomorrow to work this problem and answer these questions, instead of
giving speeches in battleground states.”

Very credible testimony, all in his own words, and with great detail. People will believe him over anything sKerry says.

They removed 250 tons of munitions.

Wait, let me get this straight:

The Dums are saying that he has no credibility even though the major was there.

Yet, the Dums ALSO say that anyone who "wasn't there" with Kerry has no right to criticize his record?

Uh-oh, I smell ca-ca....

A major!! In army fatigues, no less. It doesn't get any better than this.

Lt.Col. Oliver North on Capitol Hill, in full dress uniform, covered with fruit salad, (circa 1987) was at least as good. ;O)

Kerry will not have ANYthing to talk about from now on....Don't expect an apology....he'll probably/likely blame someone on his staff for giving him "misinformation."

"Now I'm confused, first we show satellite photos of "Russian trucks" moving the stuff before the war. Then ABC shows a tape dated 18 Apr, and now we say we destroyed it 13 April?"

This isn't hard to explain. 380 tons - 200 tons = 180 tons not accounted for. The 180 could be what the sattelite pictures show the trucks moving. After all there are only a few trucks in the pictures, not the convoy needed to move 380 tons worth.

After listening to all the political spinners the last few months, hearing a 'real person' is refreshing.

[I do have grammar credentials, and I don't mind at all hearing this 'real person' speak.]
