I really could care less about his grammar, as long as he says those weapons were hauled off before the troops got there, that is all I need to hear!

When the Major first heard about this on the news, he thought it was something recent. After seeing the videos, he realized that was during the time he'd been there, and he contacted his chain of command.

Soldier speaks:
- Didn't realize it was an issue until late Tuesday
- He initially thought this was a recent report
- Finally saw a video that made him realize it was about the stuff he had worked with
- Last night, he talked to the Pentagon, and they asked him to come in
- He was commander of 24th ordinance company
- Based in Logistics support area Dogwood, south of Bagdad
- Managed captured ammunition area at Dagwood
- Conducted missions to get captured ammunition from schools, houses, etc.
- Returned from mission in Bagdad to assist with 101st ID to remove weapons from Objective Elms (Al Qaqaa)
more to come

I understand this guy contacted the Pentagon. He said he heard about the story on NBC, and when he saw the map, he said that is where he was with his troops.
So, he contacted his Chain of Command, and here we are.

I love the way military officers communicate, very direct and fact-filled. The only downfall is their fallback to acronyms that civilians find baffling.
