but we have to not quit.

And then I keep thinking about "Chief Justice Hillary Rodham Clinton"... ugh

Oh, I am just tired right now. I probably won't keep my fingers still no matter what the outcome, either.

It occurs to me that we now have soldiers digging through paperwork to find the documentation on the explosives they moved and disposed of.

... While those soldiers need to be fighting and winning a war.

Thank you Senator Kerry.

Well we had the Heaven's Gate Cult and now the Kerry's Gate Cult. The Kool-Aid is fuel for the ride home and a tasty drink too!

God didn't raise up Bush - WE DID!

Ah, the old issue: sovereignty of God and the self-will of the individual...

I believe in both:
God allows and works leaders into His Plan, but he selects leaders. He said that He picked Nebuchadnezzar as the instrument of punishment for Judah.

I believe He will allow us to choose, but He can intervene in the hearts of believers to turn the tide, too! :)

I thought that might be unclear, darn it. Meaning the MSM stinks so bad with this supposed "story," it makes my dog smell good in comparison.

Yea, kinda threw me off. heheh!

Sometimes my fingers get ahead of my brain. It's ok. I didn't think you meant something negative.

Hope you and Ape can make up. :)

I think that Bush may win as many as 40 states (Kerry, perhaps as few as 10, plus the D of C); California would be nice, but at this point I doubt it.
George W. Bush will be reelected by a margin of at least ten per cent

This is where I find the truth. The media sure won't give it to us. I have learned SO much since I joined Free Republic. I sure can't thank Jim enough for providing this vehicle for all of us!

I'm trying to show one of the reasons why I'm getting more nervous about the election.

However, if your suggestion is that I'm trying to post bad news about Bush for any other reason, you are dead wrong.

"This should have been done Monday morning."

Now, I do not know if there was a plan by the Bushies or not, but I would argue that by letting Kerry "have enough rope to hang himself," they might have turned this into a big negative issue for Kerry on the last weekend of the campaign. Kerry really went off on Bush about this, and if it is now shown that the explosives were:

1. Partly removed by Saddam prior to the war (UN docs and satellite pictures), and;

2. The remainder destroyed by our troops,

Kerry will look extremely incompetent. I mean, Kerry has been on the intelligence committee for how many years? And he doesn't know you need to confirm your intelligence before acting? Bush acted on 13 years of intelligence on Saddam's WMDs - so much intelligence that even Kerry and the UN believed Saddam still had WMD stockpiles - and even that well-cooroborated intelligence was apparently faulty. Now Kerry takes one second hand, pass-the-buck letter from his buddies at the UN and goes after Bush. In four days we have shown his intelligence was crap. It took a year and a half to decide Saddam probably did not have WMDs! Which candidate acts cavalierly on poor intelligence now? Kerry just proved, on the week before the election with the climax coming on the weekend, that he is not to be trusted with foreign policy. I would argue that, even if this should have been found Monday, it has been released at just the right time.

"...People like to tie God and America in with Armageddon. Maybe not. Maybe God will do what He's done throughout recorded history... and just let us destroy ourselves..."

Looking at our history, it is my belief that God has indeed blessed this country. The miracle of 1812 after the sacking of the White House, then the miracle of 1815 in New Orleans are the biggest examples, but several less obvious miracles occurred during the Revolution, and in every major crisis we've ever been faced with. Remember the storm that decimated the invading British army the morning after they burned the White House?
