The 2001 PSU/OSU game (when Joe broke Bear Bryant's record) is on ESPN Classic as I type.

I thought of this last weekend we were at Texas Tech VS UT game with about 53,000 filled to capcity. A small plane kept flying around the stadium. I was thinking the same things but I figure they might have been doing some kind of airal photography thing... It still was not very comforting.

Besides the fact that we did not SHOW up to play and UT won. It was not a National Telecast.

LOL...I would love say something disparaging about both OSU and PSU, in good fun of course, but I'm a Husker fan and I'd end up eating more than I could dish out!!!

Nothing like college football though!

I wish Joe could find a way to win more games so he can pass that cheater Bobby Bowden.

Well, many of us don't acknowledge that Bowden is the leader in Division I wins. Check out his first 31 victories while at Samford (an NAIA school at the time):

Bobby's first 31 victories should not count towards a D-1 record. Here are BB's first 31 Wins:

1 Howard 14, Maryville (Tenn.) 0
2 Howard 20, Sewanee (Tenn.) 0
3 Howard 34, Tenn. Tech (B team) 0
4 Howard 26, Millsaps (Miss.) 0
5 Howard 14, Tennessee-Martin 13
6 Howard 16, Southwestern (Tenn.) Lynx 0
7 Howard 24, Livingston (Ala.) State 0
8 Howard 20, Troy State 19
9 Howard 52, Gordon Military College 20
10 Howard 14, Maryville (Tenn.) 0
11 Howard 56, Sewanee (Tenn.) 0
12 Howard 41, Georgetown (Ky.) 0
13 Howard 42, Millsaps (Miss.) 0
14 Howard 28, Mississippi Delta 14
15 Howard 22, Livingston (Ala.) State 6
16 Howard 26, Southwestern (Tenn.) Lynx 0
17 Howard 48, Troy State 14 .
18 Howard 60, Memphis Navy 0
19 Howard 64, Georgetown (Ky.) 6
20 Howard 16, Wofford (S.C.) 13
21 Howard 20, Mississippi Delta 14
22 Howard 18, Carson-Newman (Tenn.) 7
23 Howard 34, Southwestern (Tenn.) Lynx 7
24 Howard 80, Troy State 0
25 Howard 22, Chattanooga (Tenn.) 13
26 Howard 40, University of Mexico 0
27 Howard 14, Louisiana College 12
28 Howard 14, Furman 7
29 Howard 47, Carson-Newman (Tenn.) 0
30 Howard 21, Mississippi College 3
31 Howard 34, Wofford (S.C.) 28

My favorite is the University of Mexico. I'll bet that was quite a struggle.

Looks like a good avenue for the SwiftVets to place an ad on ABC.

I saw a Swifties ad during the OSU/Indiana game last week.

One of the oldest football rivalries is Army vs Navy.

They play Dec. 4

It is always a big game for both.

Navy has only lost once this year while Army has lost 4, but Army will definitly be up for this one. Navy has won the last 2 or 3 years.

I hope it is another great classic game and not a lopsided blowout.

This Saturday, Ohio Stadium will have about 100,000 people sitting in it.

At any Buckeye home game there will be 105,000 fans yelling and screaming (not sitting) in the Horseshoe!

Seriously though, you are right, though I hope you are all wrong. The terrorists will have barked up the wrong tree, again!

I will be at that game on Saturday.

Come a little early and check out the "Skull Session" in St. John Arena. For those unitiated, the skull session is a pep rally and concert by the Ohio State University Marching Band a couple hours before each home football game. It's free and is a great time. Tressel brings the team by for a few minutes and the crowd goes nuts. St. John's holds approx 13,000 and it's usually close to being full. This week my brother-in-law's high school band from Lakota West near Cincinnati will be playing before the OSU band around 9:30. By the way, this is the same band that welcomed the president to the West Chester rally in Butler County a few weeks ago. 55,000 folks there.

I can't help but be a closet Badger fan...you have Barry Alvarez after all. He was a Husker, assistant wrestling coach at our high school, and a terrific high school football coach in Nebraska before going big time.

Badgers? We don't need no stinkin' Badgers!!!

j/k :o) Had to steal that line from Weird Al...

Musbooger. Sigh. The radio announcers are much better.

You must be a Penn State fan! Musberger is such a Buckeye shill, it's pathetic...and if he isn't rooting for them, he's rooting for the Spartans. It frosts us Wolverines every time he gets the draw for our games.

(Different sport, but)...whatever happened to the Danny Manning era, anyway?

You must be a Penn State fan!

LOL, yup. Thanks to my pop. He's an alum :) I grew up watching football with him. His first Christmas gift to me was a football. Since I'm of the female persuasion, and this was decades ago so pre-womens lib, my mom was not amused :)

And considering the fact that we had a terrorist truck driver right there in Columbus who was found following 9-11 I'd have to say that your concerns would be absolutely well founded.

...and considering you're going to have 100,000 truck drivers getting together in the stadium on Saturday (just kidding...it's a Meechigan thing)...it'd be like a giant "Where's Waldo" game. You'd never find him.

This Saturday, Ohio Stadium will have about 100,000 people sitting in it. Scary thought.

We've got Michigan-Michigan State this week, so it should be in excess of 113,000...or, as the announcer tells it..."making this the largest crowd to watch a college football game anywhere in America today!"
