I apologize for the vanity folks. If the Mods determine that this is not appropriate, feel free to move it to chat. I have just had a bad feeling since this thought popped into my head.
We now have a tape in our possession where terrorists are saying that the streets are going to be drenched in blood. We know that they are desperate to attack us to influence the election, so it would have to be in the next couple of days.
Ohio is thought to be one of the most important battleground states this year. Thinking like a terrorist, if I wanted to give the election to Kerry, I would do something spectacular in Ohio. This Saturday, Ohio Stadium will have about 100,000 people sitting in it. Scary thought.
Again, sorry for the vanity, I just had to let that out. I so hope I'm wrong.

But I thought the Buckeyes played in Michigan.

Looks like a good avenue for the SwiftVets to place an ad on ABC.

Hmmm...maybe Kerry was trying to throw any would-be terrorists off...
What an incredibly smart man he is...

Musbooger. Sigh. The radio announcers are much better.
And FWIW, I suspect that college football fans are the last people the bad guys would try to mess with :)

And considering the fact that we had a terrorist truck driver right there in Columbus who was found following 9-11 I'd have to say that your concerns would be absolutely well founded.

Thinking like a terrorist, if I wanted to give the election to Kerry, I would do something spectacular in Ohio. You might be thinking like a terrorist who does not understand America. Another attack on our country would guarantee a Bush win. This is not Spain.

The way the buckeyes have been playing this year, OSU fans have seen at least 3 bombs on the field already... ;)

I agree we are not Spain. But whether a terrorist understands that or not, he still may try to take out 100k people. I'm not thinking in terms of the election, I'm saying a terrorist might do this because they think it would influence the election. I am concerned with a possible massive loss of lives.

Penn State graduate here. We suck although the Buckeyes aren't much better. I'd take a Bush victory over a Penn State victory anyday.

thanks. Like I said, I pray I am wrong. But it makes a lot of sense. If this were a movie, it would be the obvious plot.
Maybe I just have seen too many disaster movies!

I'll tell you what's scary: The horrible spectre of another 6-4 final. With those two teams, that's a distinct possibility.
