Freeper update: A PROTEST/RIOT is Planed in Seattle if Bush is reelected- Be careful Seattle!

PROTEST ZONES by Jenn Green If Bush Wins--or Steals--This Election, Don't Just Sit There

If Bush gets reelected on November 2--if half of our fellow citizens lose their minds, or if he manages to steal the election again--storming Seattle's federal offices, prisons, and property will let him know that we're not going down without a fight this time. Here's a list of federal sites in Seattle that could be perfect places to protest:

JACKSON FEDERAL BUILDING--915 Second Ave. The Jackson Federal Building, which houses everything from the Office of Civil Rights (ironic, no?) to the U.S. Government bookstore, was the site of an unsuccessful antiwar protest in March, 2003. The key to demonstrating at the Federal Building is organization: Agree on the terms of the march, and do everything in your power to avoid jaywalking in front of the building (the police really hate that). If things get out of control, seek refuge in the office of Senator Patty Murray (she doesn't really like W. either).

INS DETENTION CENTER--815 Airport Way. The 150 detainees at Seattle's INS Detention Center would no doubt be cheered by the sounds of protesters gathering outside the walls. The thought of another four years of Bush as president and the joys that go along with that--being jailed with no evidence of terrorist activity, all in the name of "preserving liberty" through the PATRIOT Act--probably depresses them too.

BALLARD LOCKS--3015 NW 54th St. As long as you're not brown-skinned and carrying a camera, you won't, like one unfortunate Seatle resident, attract the attention of Tom Ridge's Dept. of Homeland Security by marching on the Ballard Locks. We don't know why you would want to march on the locks but, hey, the fish ladder is cool and there's a big hill you can roll down. And there's a lot of parking, unlike at the Federal Building downtown.

That takes care of Seattle. But if we wind up with another 2000-style deadlock--if election results are contested in Ohio or Florida, or if Republicans try to stop people from voting in any state--that's where the real action will be. Protestors with guts should head to those states to make their voices heard. And if Bush manages to steal the election, then we'll see you in D.C. in January. Bring some eggs.

You just need warm water. That shouldn't be a problem though because he's probably full of hot air.

I work on Pike and Fifth and live on Wall and 4th. In other words, I'll be in the middle of whatever circus these a-s clowns have up their sleeves.

How about a "Heavens Gate" style silent protest. Get some new sneakers and take a nice long nap.

Believe me, I'd return in a minute if I could. This place is ridiculous. San Francisco without good restaurants. :-(

Hey now, we don't want to kill anybody. Water cannons are the answer, and Seattle doesn't have to worry about water damage.

LOL myself. but i am not inciting you to use your (controlled) temper. i am offering my full support to defend you as you interpret the bill of rights as they were intended.....you see, when conservatives incite, they DO see the inside of a prison.

The left is becoming unhinged everywhere you turn. These are not the self assured, arrogant Democrats we saw in 1992, 1996, and 2000. They know defeat is looming on the horizon because the votes haven't been counted yet and they're already filing lawsuits and planning protest marches. These are not the actions of confident people.

They KNOW they're goin' down this time----I have felt this was coming for a long time now. I expect blood in the streets. This time it's not going to be close, so expect the "challenges" to come thick and fast starting on Nov. 2.
And expect real riots and sporadic guerrilla/terrorist type
anarchism to be set in motion in about a hundred different places. Like the WTO protest but occurring all over the place.
As we know, some legal stuff is already underway, but as annoying as this pre-voting stuff is, we're still in the "polite"
phase. I think what will happen in the wake of this election will be unprecedented. And all because history is passing them by, and they're on the wrong side of the road.

I go back to this all of the time, but this crap is algore's fault. I will never get over my RAGE at his attempted coup, and then the reversal the leftist's did pretending it is Bush that stole the election. I hate more than anything how these scum insult our intelligence. I hope they are all thrown in jail and the key is thrown away.
