WHY KERRY WILL LOSE EARLY AND BADLY - (The states he should be winning but isn't)
WMCA, New York/THE KERRY SPOT ^ | 10.27.2004

Depending on the turnout (wink, wink), I am beginning to believe that Kerry will conclude one of the most miserable campaigns for President ever by losing in states he "shouldn't" be early on election night.

Today a new poll showed again that President Bush is dead even with Senator Kerry in New Jersey. This is unbelievable. Al Gore walked away with New Jersey early in the evening in 2000. But if Kerry loses it my prediction is for Bush to almost run the board.

The reasons why Kerry is doing badly in New Jersey is partly not his own doing but his party's. New Jersey has the most corrupt state government in the entire Union. The Democrats are in control of everything - and as could be expected - everything is a mess. Governor McGreevey named his gay lover to the position of "Homeland Security Advisor", the man wasn't even a U.S. Citizen, nor could he even get the clearance needed to attend Federal security briefings. And this is happening in the second most impacted state following 9/11.

BUT weren't those "boys nights out" fun...

The Democratic corruption has left a bad taste, but voters in New Jersey are also realizing that they don't have any state-wide elected officials that they really had a voice in putting there. McGreevey is stepping aside and an "appointed" Governor will run the state for 18 months. One of the Senators bought his way to the Senate. The other was a bait and switch for New Jersey voters.

Look for a voter's rebellion...sick of the corruption, New Jersey voters will choose President Bush as their choice, even some out of protest.

With the 16 electoral votes that go with it, New Jersey will significantly change the electoral college count. And if it goes BUSH early on Tuesday night - a state that BUSH spent almost no money in, Kerry can kiss the White House goodbye.

When you add to the New Jersey equation the fact that Kerry is trailing in Hawaii - which was an 18% win for Gore in 2000 - those combined 20 electoral votes are as big as Ohio. (Another state that President Bush is leading in...)

I wonder if any Freepers ever sign up for things like this : http://calls.johnkerry.com and call people on behalf of, um, the kerry campaign?

Hehe. "So, uh, why should I vote for John Kerry?" "Just do as I tell you to or you won't get free healthcare, you idiot!" "Did you just call me an idiot? Well, you were being an idiot..." You get the idea. Listen to a couple of those old Jerky Boy Tapes for inspiration...

Fortunately we're a moralistic group and don't resort to underhanded tactics like that which would compromise our dignity by misrepresenting Kerry in an even worse light than he represents himself.

I remember clintoon's 2nd term win....boy was I unhappy....this is the way the RATS will feel...all their effort and all the huge amounts of money they've spent...and for what .... NOTHING!!! Just one big LOSS!!!

But honestly, we didn't have a serious expectation that Dole was going to win.

The RATS however not only think Kerry is going to win, but win big and it is their divine right to govern. It is their rightful place.

I know we didn't. But it still was hard to swallow when clintoon won 4 more yrs.

Well the rats are in for one big surprise....they'll lose and lose big...and President Bush will win...a lot more than the polls are showing...kinda like when Reagan won his second term. ;o)

I would have loved for Bush to campaign deep in the heart of Kerry bases in cities such as Boston, Chicago, Seattle, and L.A. on the final leg of his campaign. Really drive some nails into Kerry's coffin by holding rallies downtown smack dab in the middle of these socialist paradises. Unfortunately, he's coming to Green Bay, WI on Saturday(for the thousandth time) again to speak to the choir. Bush could have finished with a bang and demoralized the Kerry campaign.

Governor Bush took a victory lap including stops in California in 2000. President Bush will not make that mistake.

For those of us chewing our fingernails down to the nub, when will we KNOW that Bush is having a good night?? About what time? or what states need to come his way?

My own opinion? If Bush wins New Hampshire, Kerry is in for a short night...

Even if Busy only won the states he did in 2000, he ends up with 7 more electoral votes because of gains in the west.

Actually Rather's voice is a give away too.

I hope we win this one big time. It will be so much fun switching to all the channels I never surf...CNN ABC SeeBS NBC MSNBC CNBC PBS and watching the pathetic expressions on their faces and their bizarre rational as to why "their guy" lost.

I'm not just "hoping", though. I volunteer at the local PUB center almost every night, working on the GOTV effort. Hope y'all are, too!

Even more noteworthy than New Jersey is Hawaii. Hawaii sort of exists in a vacuum-- there's no advertising dollars spent there, no get out the vote drives, and nobody is campaigning there. I wonder what people see and hear in Hawaii that makes a 20 point Kerry lead evaporate that the rest of the country is supposedly missing. It makes you wonder how close things really are or aren't. Not that I'm getting complacent...

Could it be the military contingent? EVERYONE I run into with a military background (or family members) is very outspoken and pro-Bush.

I can't wait to see the look on the faces of Brokaw, Jennings, and especially that jerk Rather when they have to announce it.

Jennings: America threw another temper tantrum tonight....

Both GW and Jeb told the crowd at the New Port Richey, Florida rally to do early voting. I repeat....DO EARLY VOTING !

They must have darn good reasons for this instruction.

Your vote will be safely locked in that box till election as mine will be. At this vital moment, the President's wish is our command. Get your self over to the "early vote" site.

...though my preference would be for W to win by one electoral vote again, just to honk off the left in a HUGE way

They're already sucker-punching people carrying Bush signs, throwing bricks and firing shots through Republican office windows, vandalizing anything that has so much as a W on it, and attempting to assasinate Members of Congress with their Cadillacs, so I think I'd much rather see them CRUSHED than honked off in a huge way.

Even worse, he would be Juan Queri, Mexican patriot, showing the invading army around.
