I got alot of help with this question. For example, see post 72. You seem to have put your finger on it.

The Tiggywinkle's were visiting that area last week. How I wish we could have been there for this. :o)

The Democrats HAD to order their voters to attend Kerry's rally. It doesn't sound like they're excited about the candidate. Our side doesn't need to be given time off from government jobs to make it look like their guy's strong. Kerry's Philly rally looked forced. Bush has a lead in Philly suburbs and he will win the rural areas between the cities big. Doesn't matter what Fast Eddie does or doesn't do for Ketchup Boy. Lancaster speaks volumes about where the Keystone State is trending.

"There were quite a few Amish out there today...they are politically energized as never before." Has anyone said why this is?
They know they will be amongst the first ones liquidated under Shar'ia law. That's a compelling argument for supporting Dubya.

**What a lot of people don't know that Lancaster is not the only place in PA that there are Amish. North of Harrisburg and West to State College the country side is dotted with Amish Farms. No doubt they will all vote too.**
Add to the Pennsylvania numbers, there are Amish in Ohio, Indiana. Then there are the Mennonites, including in California. :o)

We had a much different experience. Just last week we were there and found the Amish to be quite welcoming and friendly. :o)

I don't mean to sound joking, but where did you find them? We hardly saw any!

We met a few in the general market area delivering goods to be sold. Then we chatted freely with Menno, the gentleman who took us to the Amish countryside in a buggy, stopping at a few farm houses along the way. Talked to people who lived in the houses while stopped. :o)
