The only thing I can think of is that Rove's focus groups have shown that this stuff is a winner over Kerry's shrill attacks and they are betting on stuff like this to carry the day.

FINALLY..a Bush ad with Bush in it!

Bush imprinted himself on Americans as strong leadership. Only the constant, c0nstant harping has drug that down. This will help a WHOLE lot when people go to the voting booth.

This is the most powerful ad I have ever seen in my life. This is the perfect response. This ad will close the deal and win the election.

Much, if not all, of the words came from the acceptance speech, which I loved.

The choice has always been crystal clear:

1st--Ashley's Story
2nd--Wolves
3rd--Whatever it takes
Next--???

This is soooo smart.

Remind Americans what they felt in the days/months/years after 9/11.

Ashley reminds us of the loss.
Wolves remind us of the continuing threat.
"Whatever it takes"---evokes the feeling that this president will keep us safe.

This is bad. I went to www.georgebush.com and clicked on the "Be a Bush volunteer" link. I immediately got a message: "Security Alert Domain Name Mismatched. You have attempted to establish a connection with "www.georgebush.com". However the security certificate presented belongs to "a248.e.akamai.net". It is possible, though highly unlikely, that someone maybe trying to intercept your communication with this website."

I clicked cancel and received this message: "Could not establish an encrypted connection because certificate presented by georgebush.com is for a different domain."

So I called the phone number given at the bottom of the georgebush.com homepage, and they told me that they knew their website had been "subtly" invaded. And I remembered that two days ago I had clicked on a FR thread link to wwww.georgebush.com and somehow was transferred to a Kerry website. Damn democrats, they're playing games and it would be interesting to see a computer whiz look at it.

I have said it before and I'll say it again. The ultimate goal of a leader is to act in such a way that those in their charge will die at their command and not regret it. President Bush has achieved that goal.

I love this ad. Not only does it energize supporters and the Bush base, but it really makes the hysterical left look silly.

All the claims about this man (Bush) not caring, and "rushing into a war", and being heartless... basically the entire Michael Moore doctrine, just looks stupid after watching our president for just 1 minute.

Great, great ad... I hope enough people see it to have an effect.

"I’ve met with the parents and wives and husbands who have received a folded flag."

This sounds like classic Noonan. (Peggy, was this your contribution, to capture the image of a military funeral and focus on the bereaved, and to avoid the image of a violent death or saying "killed"? Brilliant!)
