Bush-Cheney '04 Launches New Television Advertisement, "Whatever It Takes"

ARLINGTON, VA -- Today, Bush-Cheney '04 announced the release of the campaign's newest television advertisement, "Whatever It Takes." The ad features the President discussing his resolve to win the War on Terror.

Script For "Whatever It Takes"

President Bush:
These four years have brought moments I could not foresee and will not forget.

I’ve learned first hand that ordering Americans into battle is the hardest decision, even when it is right. I have returned the salute of wounded soldiers who say they were just doing their job.

I have held the children of the fallen who are told their dad or mom is a hero but would rather just have their mom or dad.

I’ve met with the parents and wives and husbands who have received a folded flag. And in those military families, I have seen the character of a great nation.

Because of your service and sacrifice, we are defeating the terrorists where they live and plan and you’re making America safer.

I will never relent in defending America, whatever it takes.

President Bush:
I’m George W. Bush and I approve this message.

Kerry has put forth exactly nothing as a reason to vote FOR him.

Precisely and 50% of the people want a big nothing as president. That explains people like Carter and Clinton.

Cheney is carrying the freight on this... please check related threads -- we are labeling Kerry as a defeatist, appeaser and someone who repatedly is trashing our troops.

This is bad. I went to www.georgebush.com and clicked on the "Be a Bush volunteer" link. I immediately got a message: "Security Alert Domain Name Mismatched. You have attempted to establish a connection with "www.georgebush.com". However the security certificate presented belongs to "a248.e.akamai.net". It is possible, though highly unlikely, that someone maybe trying to intercept your communication with this website."

I clicked cancel and received this message: "Could not establish an encrypted connection because certificate presented by georgebush.com is for a different domain."

So I called the phone number given at the bottom of the georgebush.com homepage, and they told me that they knew their website had been "subtly" invaded. And I remembered that two days ago I had clicked on a FR thread link to wwww.georgebush.com and somehow was transferred to a Kerry website. Damn democrats, they're playing games and it would be interesting to see a computer whiz look at it.

There are people who like to see government crippled, and who want congress and the presidency controlled by different parties.

Somehow that doesn't seem like a good idea in wartime.

Thanks, but that squatter did a pretty good job. I'd post the link for www.georgebush.com, but I don't think we need to advertise it.

I have said it before and I'll say it again. The ultimate goal of a leader is to act in such a way that those in their charge will die at their command and not regret it. President Bush has achieved that goal.

Thanks for the ping, Mike! I haven't seen it yet, but the words are very movoing. Good ad!

I like the ads where the President appears in them. I think they are the most effective.

I love this ad. Not only does it energize supporters and the Bush base, but it really makes the hysterical left look silly.

All the claims about this man (Bush) not caring, and "rushing into a war", and being heartless... basically the entire Michael Moore doctrine, just looks stupid after watching our president for just 1 minute.

Great, great ad... I hope enough people see it to have an effect.

"I’ve met with the parents and wives and husbands who have received a folded flag."

This sounds like classic Noonan. (Peggy, was this your contribution, to capture the image of a military funeral and focus on the bereaved, and to avoid the image of a violent death or saying "killed"? Brilliant!)

Simple, generic, to the point disolving various lies..
Brillient I would say.. and also short and sweet costing less to run the ad.. Won't make any difference to the choir but just might effect "ditz" voters. The blonde, Afro, La Raza, and Yarmulka wearing ditz's have very short attention spans..
