I sometimes wished that I could be a liberal. I believe that those turds over at the NY Slimes and CBS deserve to be taken to the wood shed.

I remember Hunter Thompson (always a reliable source) quoting Lyndon Johnson as saying something like "It's no good accusing our opponent of being a pig-f***er until he gets up and denies it". I don't know that its such a bad idea for the RNC to ignore pig-f***ing BS like this.

The only thing guarding the explosives when they went missing was some UN police tape and their unfaltering trust in Saddam Hussein. But you're wrong about this imploding on Kerry and the MSM. That can only happen if the Bush campaign and the GOP point this stuff out. And what do you think the chances of them doing this is? What's their track record so far?

Bush will just go out there and say "It's hard work."

The RNC better respond, and in National advertising campaign. Time to take the gloves off, and expose Kerry for the descpicable person that he is.

If the man would lie about being in Cambodia, lie about running in the Boston Marathon, lie about being in NY for game 6 of the 1986 World series, lie about meeting with the Security counsel.(just to name a few) Calling a secret Service agent an SOB for knocking him down on a ski slope. This man has without a doubt a personality disorder

I've been out of the news cycle for awhile. From what I understand about this story, an NBC reporter contradicted the NYSlimes about the explosives.

What? Did they forget to let NBC in on the October surprise or something?

WE, the American people, or at least the freepers need to post a thread of the mailing address's and emails of the NY Times and Cbs, among others. I'm seeing hundreds of views on these threads but only dozens of replies about this.

I'm really surprised we are not being more proactive. Are we just hoping George can combat Kerry, the media, the terrorists, the UN and run a country all at the same time? Couldn't we even write a short protest letter or make a phone call to the 1 or 2 media institutes responsible for this?

"they may even be more partisan than the democrat party itself."

Good old Ed Bradley was on this story. Ed is blind in one eye and can't see out of the other.

You make an excellent point about LBJ's "make 'em deny it" political strategery. Apparently, at least some Democrats agree with you.

The gloves are off! Fight back!
The rallying cry is: The Republicans are racists, sexual predators, hypocrites, and traitors!

EXCERPT:
If Lyndon Johnson were alive today, he would tell us Democrats how to beat the crap out of the Republicans. There is a story about Johnson from his halcyon political days in Texas that is pertinent today. The rough and tumble politician was running for re-election to the Senate in 1952 and while on one of his trademark barnstorming campaign swings through the state he met an old Democratic political colleague—a small town sheriff who was also running for re-election. The sheriff told Johnson that he was facing an unexpectedly strong challenger in his re-election bid. Not thinking twice, Johnson told the sheriff to put out the word that his opponent "fucked pigs." The sheriff responded coolly to the idea, saying that it just wasn't true. Johnson replied, "So what! Make the son of a bitch deny it!" The Democrats of today should take a lesson from LBJ. This election cannot be played by Marquess of Queensberry rules. The Bush thugs have to be hoisted on their own petards.

Unfortunately, those who rely on the NY Times, LA Times, WAPO, ABC, CBS, and NBC for their news will never know the story blew up.

In the near future most people will get there news from the internet. These people at the New York Times and CBS are in the same shape as the people who use to work for the buggy whip companies.

"Both the New York Times and CBS have repeatedly shown they have chosen sides against President Bush in this election..."

This goes well beyond being biased. Its really the media's jihad against Bush.

If they lost these 380 tons of conventional explosives, perhaps they ALSO lost the stockpiles of WMDs!!!

I share your frustration. they whine that "no one is talking about Kerry's Senate record," but they themselves have to do that. They know damn well the media won't bring it up.

When they have done ads, the ads have been these lame bean-counter ads("He voted to raise taxes 98 times".) Nobody can relate to that, it doesn't connect with experience.

Ads I wanted to see: video of F-14s taking off for Desert Storm, and the videos of smart bombs being delivered to the Iraqi's doorsteps, with a voice-over about Kerry opposing the F-14--and opposing smart bombs; an ad showing the B-1 bomber with a voice describing Kerry's opposition to it...the picture of Kerry with the NorthVietnamese, plus voice-over, Kerry with Ortega, and a voice-over (explaining who Ortega was), or even better his own damning words on these issues.

But no. We get to hear about the $87 Billion flip-flop for the eight thousandsth time.
